Overpriced for the work, or rather, lack of work done on an average sized home. Often, the cleaning was rushed, resulting in poorly cleaned areas of the house. On the rare occasion the work was done well, the cleaner left Merry Maids soon after. Can't say I blame them. Would recommend working with a private contractor in the future who doesn't send new and unfamiliar cleaners to my home each time and who didn't break belongings in my home. (This happened on not one, but two occasions). 3 out of the 4 bedrooms in my home were untouched, which is what I asked for, but the one that was, I was billed an extra $15 for the room. For what? For taking a rag and dusting two dressers? I'd had enough. I tried cancelling once before, I gave Merry Maids another shot, and as it turns out, it wasn't worth it and I let them go. No regrets.

Staff is always friendly and the service is top notch. Very affordable. Glad to have a maid service to take some of the household workload off of me

Timeliness and how good the house looks

I don't know where to start! My husband and I are both well-into our retirement years and the ability to do more than light housework has long-departed our dwelling!" At the top of our "What-We-Love-About-Merry-Maids" list, is the fantastic young Tira, who cleans our house. She is thorough, focused, flexible, cheerful, (I often hear her humming a tune), and very sweet. Not much further down the list is the kind cooperation that awaits me when I need to call the office: the staff is always happy to change an appointment or make any other adjustments. They are very patient with my questions, and always accommodating to my needs. Thirdly, and not an unimportant factor, is the way our rooms smell so fresh and lovingly-cared-for afterward -- reminding me of a stroll in breezy English Garden! My husband and I have been working with Merry Maids to keep our humble house clean and pleasant for over a year now, and I don't know what we would do without these monthly visits. Our experience has taught us that Merry maids is one of those rare, great companies -- and to us, that is truly a gift.

There were some areas I felt could have been cleaned better, but overall it was good.

The price is high for 1 1/2 -2 hrs. New “maids” sometimes leave without any notice...ex. I’m leaving, have a good day. I am happy to have a consistent “maid” in Savannah, I paid extra to have my oven cleaned (not by Savannah) and it was ok but not clean.
Office staff is pleasant and accommodating.

Ceiling cobweb missed in living room. Dusting of wood floor around living room was sketchy price for two for 3 1/2 hour seemed high. Otherwise fine. I look forward to my regular cleaning to see how that works out.

The cleaning staff is incredibly friendly. Their cleaning is always top notch. We are incredibly satisfied with our service!

Reliability, ease of scheduling and communication

Everything looks and smells clean!

Thoroughness. Baseboards, floors that require mopping. Edges and dusting of surfaces with several objects like mantels or shelves.

The staff that comes (usually Misty) is always on time, always does a great job, asks is there is anything to focus on, and leaves the house looking just great.

I got an email saying that the cleaners would be here by 9:00. They didn’t show up until 2:30. We waited 5 1/2 hours. That part we hated but the cleaning was great. In the future we need to know when you will be here.

Cleaning professionals are courteous, conscientious and usually do a great job. Most of the time I am not here for the cleaning and they keep the house secure when leaving, but more importantly, they allow me to come home to a clean home! Appreciate them very much.

Most of the ladies are quite personable too. Maybe not everyone is as outgoing as some of the others, but they are all very nice. And they all know their business.

I like the ease of scheduling. I am able to call or text to get information on pricing, questions about my bill, time window for services, set up payment, and I'm sure just about any question I may have.
As far as the cleaning service is concerned, the ladies that came to my house did impeccable work. They showed up on time and worked efficiently. I wasn't entirely sure what to expect as this is my first time reaching out to a cleaning company, but they went above and beyond cleaning all areas of my home.
The part I enjoy the most? The weight that has been lifted off my shoulders knowing I can have my house looking in mint condition and that I don't have to try to find the time to clean my home. I am very excited to continue to use the service, Merry Maids went above and beyond my expectations.

Care of ceramic animals and other breakables.

MM is professional and good. It's not an issue for me but some people could not use a recommendation for a cleaning service that doesn't come at a set time, just a set day. I don't mind but some of my acquaintances do need specific schedules. The new texting is great though, letting me know when the service has started and ended

I like having different people rotating to clean our house. Different people focus on different things.
