I love all of the different group classes that they have.
Bathrooms are dirty and faucets leak. Broken dispensers. Poorest state of club. Running down. Not enough people cleaning, doing towels. Way overpriced for what it has devolved into.
Have not had a chance to go back to 84th and Q location since remodeled. Hope to get back there soon and start working out again so cam not able to evaluate at this timer/
I recently signed up for a membership using PIF instead of monthly payments. I have been asking about my free personal training sessions and have gotten no answer. I spoke to Steven Deere on Tuesday last week and he promised to find out and answer and get back to me. As of today I haven't heard anything. There also seems to be a lot of turn over in that area. I speak to one person about an issue it doesn't get resolved then suddenly they are gone and no one else knows anything about my issue and I have too start all over
Great staff
Very nice staff. Always
The staff is ver helpful. It is clean. The equipment is maintained.
Friendly staff, clean locker rooms, many workout options
No Kids
Close, convenient and the group instructors are outstanding! The members are friendly 🥰
The mens steam room and sauna is always dirty. You can see rust under the benches in the steam room.
. You owe all of us women a discount for a while.......No AC in the studios for a long time. I cant imagine the workout areas would have gone this long without AC. I think you know its mainly women in there. UGH. SO HOT
Skilled and friendly personal trainers. Large selection of work out equipment
The air conditioning in some areas (group X room) has been broken down for several weeks now... fans are few and being removed from some areas to take to others. How much would it cost to buy an extra fan or two?
The shower curtains in the men's shower are falling apart and need replaced.
the bottles with sanitizer liquid to clean equipment are usually missing or broken. Need more bottles and the squeeze/spray mechanism should be checked when they are refilled to make sure they work. You want us to help maintain equipment clean...we want to, but you are making it very hard right now.
Normally, I always give this club a 10 in rating, but have just noticed that things seem to be slipping a little and nothing is being done even after we report issues to front desk.
I hope that you read this and implement some of these changes... I feel they are relatively minor and not very expensive (except for air conditioning which I don't know about). But these things have a big impact on the opinion of the club that we take away....
thanks for your time.
I especially like the friendliness and cleanliness of Genesis in Olathe. The water aerobics classes I attend also have friendly people, and we have fun while exercising!
The swimming pool has 90 degree water which is dangerous for workouts. We need to try several solutions to lower the temperature by at least five degrees. For example, opening the windows (even slightly)overnight, water canons, fans, and adding cold water/ice.Why not try something?
Members are also anxious for showers to be available…
The equipment, atmosphere and location
Digital check in
Other than the free weight flat and incline benches are losing parts and screws, which could cause significant issues, all is well.
There is equipment that is out of order and not marked as out of order. Specifically one of the stairs machines, and one of the sinks in the men's restroom. This was the case at the midtown location. Also, at the aksarben location there was a stair machine that was out of order for more than a year so I assumed it was a defect in company standards to not fix equipment.
Friendliness of staff especially at 70th and "A" Streets Genesis Club. The cleanliness of the club at 70th and "A" Streets is great. And I love the indoor pool.
Mixxed Fit classes are amazing!
I’m just back after Covid and surgery leave but the three days I’ve gone there doesn’t appear to be a cleaning process. I haven’t been upstairs yet but cleanliness in a health club seems very important.
This facility has what I need and enjoy using to work out. Also great pools!
When Genesis took over Onelife the quality of the gym went down. Half of the step master machines are broken and you do not provide wet wipes to clean off machines. Instead, there are paper towels (which run out all the time) and sprayers. The gym isn't as clean as it use to be, I'm waiting for my contract to end to switch gyms.
Genesis needs to update their exercise equipment - specifically the stationary bikes.
I'm good at this time, though I feel your membership fees are high.
The location.

Location, available parking, equipment, indoor pool and steam sauna.
