The instructors
I like the cleanliness, the friendliness of the staff and that there is lots of room to socially distance.
Everyone seems friendly. Instructors are nice and are willing to give modifications when needed. They seem knowledgeable about what could be a cause when you can't do something or something feels off
So many different options for working out. Classes, equipment and the pool.
Floor drains in men’s locker room need maintenance. They don’t always drain.
Nothing you can do. It is just that the total.size of the gym is limited, which limits other amenities being possible. Otherwise it is a great place.
Fix the broken TVs cleaner locker rooms more friendly staff
Fix broken pieces on some of the equipment, clean the steam room after closing instead of 30 mins prior and open the Pilates room because that equipment is honestly no different than most of the other equipment that everyone in the gym is using and wiping down themselves if they so desire.
Over a Year behind on the new gym, the whole reason I joined.
Always clean and friendly staff
Women’s locker room needs major improvements
I love that it’s close to my home, and offers the barre class that I’m interested in.
The equipment is new and clean along with with the Facility. Love the smiling eyes!
Love the Hot Tub and Steam room.
Very clean! Great customer service...front desk , sales team and all the instructors are friendly and helpful:)
The people are friendly. They have scheduled classes throughout the day.
The club is generally clean and there is usually plenty of space to social distance ourselves while the COVID pandemic is still prevalent.
I love the number and variety of classes. I am so inspired by our amazing instructors. Staff is super helpful and friendly. Great energy!
The flexible class times, and the variety of classes offered. I also really love the energy that the instructors all bring to the classes and their willingness to build positive relationships with members.
We have been members for years. Since Genesis, this gym have been overrun with weightlifters. They congregate in groups, and make it uncomfortable to navigate through them.
There appears to be very few adults working nor trainers around.
When this club was Prairie Life, there was a higher attention to detail and cleanliness. Most towels are now worn and tattered. The plastic bags for wet swimsuits or sweaty clothes are gone. Floors are not completely cleaned. Sidewalks are only partially cleared of snow. Cleaning towels for sanitizing equipment are sometimes in low on non-existent supply.
The club has no advantage over other clubs except squash and racquetball courts, but those sports have been de-emphasized. Pickleball is awkward with bad lighting and an open wall into the weight room. The rewards program is a rip-off, the shipping on most items is as much as the item is worth.
I have already terminated my membership, so I don't care what you do.
Allow guests to try out the facilities for a week to try and recruit more members.
Well, I have canceled my membership due to me switching to strongman, and it's way to much to pay just to do cardio. I will say I was shocked to go in there the other day and realize that Child care has been shut down to 1.5 hours. That was one of the best things and main reasons I first became a member. 1.5 hours is not enough time to get a good serious workout in and get good cardio in. I will say I may go a little longer then most, but I think a good workout takes at least an hour if not longer usually longer for me, but then you have to hurry to get even 30 min. of cardio in and that isn't counting changing or anything like that. I think you really need to consider going back to 2 hour child care.
There is so much equipment that will work for every muscle, the Askarben location is a bit small at times but it’s a great place!
Prairie Life (PL) spoiled us! Genesis is just not what it used to be. I used to be able to bring a friend. Not a ton, but maybe 6x/ yr and PL was always willing to give me a free guest pass. PL always had included swimming lessons for the kids, and lots of classes for kids (gymnastics, racquetball, basketball, dance). Back in the day (5 yrs ago) gymnastics was included too.
While I have been reassured verbally that it’s not the case, Genesis as a corporation/ this location is moving away from being family friendly. It’s priorities are different than PL.
We have been members at this location for 6+ years, and would love to find reasons to stay. We do love the pool, and appreciate how clean the pool is.
There are not enough squat racks or bench press stations.
Everyone is so friendly and they require masks and take your temperature each time you enter the building.
Newer equipment with better selection. Much of the equipment is worn out, doing is torn and falling apart. There are also several duplicate machines. More of a variety or plate loaded options would be nice.
The variety of options and equipment! Affordable and I have a place I cab take my children to, while I work out.
