Everything!
It's not too big, but has plenty of equipment to use. Employees work hard to keep the gym and lockers clean.
The employees are fantastic at Genesis in Salina. The equipment is getting old and run down as well as the furniture in the front. I wouldn't bring someone in to our club to show it off. It is a little embarrassing when we host tennis tournaments and people look around our club. I would really like to see some some updating as not much has happened since I joined (around the time the club opened). It is time to replace some of the equipment!
The A/C is continuously not working, this is unacceptable, it seems NO one cares!
Greta is a wonderful instructor and makes class so much fun! Also, the staff at the front desk are very nice and friendly.
Clean and good equipment
Air conditioner always seems to be broken in the exercise room. Too few teachers stretched too thin for class options.
Equipment selection and laid back Atmosphere
Install sun shades on windows it gets so hot in the morning when the sun rises
Newly-remodeled and clean! Love the tennis drills and programs!
Overall cleanliness of facilities, showers, and mens restroom is sub par. It just looks run down. There are not very many treadmills that function properly with working tvs.
The club is dirty, lots of broken equipment and it is too hot in the group x room!
I have filled these out numerous times; the gym I go to is in bad need of updating. Ceiling leaks and is dangerous for members, equipment goes for a extreme amount of time before it gets addressed and fixed and the gym isn’t kept clean. I realize you are in the business of making money but this is/was an adult gym and now the kids camp and the screaming doesn’t make for a enjoying experience for working out.
After the change from OneLife the cardio machines no longer allow television shows to be viewed individually. The overall cleanliness of the club has gone downhill dramatically, especially the men's locker rooms, numerous machines and plumbing problems (men's toilets, showers, and equipment). Towels are rarely set out in the morning for guests and the locker rooms are extremely hot - it's terrible to workout and shower only to sweat through the clothes you put on because the locker rooms are so much warmer than the rest of the facilities.
Fix all of the broken lockers. Open the pool. FIX THE AC!
I used to give them a perfect score. The ones in charge at corporate have lost touch with how to treat their employees right. Although the resources appear to be in abundance with the owners of Genesis, the facility on Ridgeview lacks the proper care and maintenance in desperately needs. I care about the people who work at the Genesis on Ridgeview and I enjoy the people I see when I workout. I'm tempted to quit my current role as a CEO, apply here and right the ship! Put your employees first, your customers second, and your profits last. The profits will come. It's not rocket science.
Turn the AC on and spend the money. The fans aren’t cutting it. Keep the cleaning supplies filled. Overall cleanliness.
First is the location. Downtown is not convenient unless you work or live close. A lot of people have yet to return to the office.
Second is the parking. 2 hours is not enough. And the machines that dispense and take tickets malfunction 50% of the time. The parking lot manager is a huge jerk. He has accused several gym members of outright lying when the machine jams and fails to dispense a ticket, although he has personally witnessed this event and has acknowledged to me that these machines are a problem. He and those machines need to go.
Third is the disrepair of the equipment. Once an “out of repair” sign is placed on equipment, it seems like weeks before it’s fixed. Not acceptable. I’m paying to use those machines.
Cleanliness is a major concern. Often times trash is piled up in the locker rooms, showers are not throughly cleaned, the sauna is not properly cleaned often. There was a bandaid that remained on the floor of the sauna for over 6 weeks before I saw it gone. Some staff lack friendless, and far too often during all hours of the day towels are not available.
Our large groups of women swimmers and water classes have been together for many years. Maybe some new towels and water equipment would be nice. They always keep thAt up for us as Prairie Life.
Also we really need to get the locker rooms finished soon . We are getting tired of no shower doors. Thanks and God bless .
Fix the air conditioning in the yoga room! The room feels like an oven and the fans in the room that used to oscillate do not seem to do that anymore. There were people yesterday who were not going to stay for class because the room was too hot.
Pave the entire parking lot. Filling in pot holes is not working and seems to be an issue a few times a year.
Continue being sure that workout towels are available at all locations.
Ensure that disinfectant wipe states are continually filled.
Very friendly front desk staff as well as the club manager Chris Cannon.
Chris is so super friendly and always busy around the club .
This gym has went down hill over the last year or so. The culture of the gym is terrible from the staff to 90 percent of the members at this location. I have talked to numerous employees and nothing changes, they are all worried about “broing” it up. They let the young crowd do what they pleaser from mid using equipment (slamming or drops g loaded barbells) the other big one is the use of cameras on the gym floor and in the locker room! There are guys that strip down to basically their underwear and flex and take pictures out on the main gym floor. There is also a lot of guys taking pictures in the locker room while there are people walking around naked. I will no longer be going to this location after using it for almost 15 years.
Clean, organized, friendly staff.
It’s clean, well not so much anymore but I think it’s because they can’t find help!! I will say, please make your office staff aware of G-Perks!! I had a question concerning my points and NO one at the gym could help!! I got it resolved! Other than that it’s very nice!! One more thing, for seniors once our initial contract is paid, how about reducing our monthly a little!! I am 62 yrs old and don’t quite get there as much as I use to but still pay 82 bucks a month!!!
Equipment is always in serviceable condition and if not they do repair in timely manner. Great variety of machines for different muscle group. Staff is always friendly and courteous.
Cleanliness and upkeep in men's bathroom needs major improvement. Showers and sinks are filthy. Its like they are almost permanently stained with dirt due to lack of proper/consistent cleaning. Shower soap is empty a lot of times as well.
the gym is to crowded and with the construction it is very difficult to get a consistent workout with my routine.
Problems - Yellow/old hand wash towels. Bath towels thin, worn/old. They were not that way under OneLife. I suspect they come used from other gym locations.
The are toilets' dirty and malfunctioning. Steam room has never been washed/cleaned. Men walk into the steam room barefoot and there is a wad of spit that some slob spit up on the wall above the heater several months ago and it is still there.
The exercise mats need replacing they are worn and filthy.
Solution - I truly understand that some of these issues are caused by members, however it is still managements responsibility to maintain the facility and to repair and replace on a constant basis. If this does not occur soon I will contact the Health Dept. Thank you!
