The pool is open almost always. Also, I enjoy the water aerobics.
A lot of broken equipment
I like the gym, certainly compared to most. There is an obvious effort to keep things clean and offer a variety of equipment. Good for all.
Frustrating aspects of the gym tend to be other gym-goers. There is often a lack of "gym etiquette" that can be frustrating, namely not replacing equipment where it was found (which in turn makes it difficult to find for everyone else), not replacing free-weights or often even deloading plates off a bar, or misuse of equipment (such as using the one deadlift platform for anything other than deadlifts, or using a bench press rack to set towels and water bottles on while the person goes off an does something else).
At my gym, in addition to the notes above, there seems to be a lack of barbells. Often there are three or four spaces open without one and you just have to wait for someone to finish up. It tends to make some of the stations less useful to have.
While none of this may seem very serious, it detracts from the overall environment. I personally would love to see the staff, at least occasionally and when the gym is very busy, circulate through the space and work to correct poor etiquette. Maybe even a flier at the front door - lol - who knows.
Overall I do like the gym. Staff is always great, it is always clean, and has been a nice place to work out.
Start Mixed fit classes on time. I know its hard to get good teachers and late is better than none. Zumba instructor on Monday has high energy but still needs to learn routines.
The men's locker room is awful. Some showers work but are either all cold or all hot. General areas need a deep cleaning and then better cleaning maintenance. The locker area is dark and also needs a real good cleaning. Carpets need to be replaced.
The management and customer service are awful. When I call in, I get put on eternal hold and then hung up on. When I called a few times over the past year to try to get a few weeks leave of my membership due to some serious health issues, I was ignored.
Add to that, the person who I met with when joining the club made promises that were no where near kept. During my initial meeting with him, he sure did bring up a lot of topics that he had no way of knowing I had interest in. I think he looked at my FB page in order to find things out about me in order to connect with me during our meeting. Bad sales tactic, I wish I would have figured that out sooner.
It's a nice facility, that's the only reason I give it a 5/10 for recommendation.
The pool class
The gym is clean, well equipped an the equipment is well maintained. The staff is friendly an helpful if needed. They have bicycle classes as well as pump, cardio, Yago an others. For the beginner or the person how takes there workout seriously it is a great choice.
Why did you close the place down so long when the only thing you did was reduce the amount of space available? Oh, this will be the best or second best gym in the entire city. Meh, not so much.

very nice people that work there, I am always greeted when I come in and again when I leave. This place is very neat and clean with plenty of machines to workout on.
Get more incline benches downstairs (that also folds flat). Replace missing dumbbells downstairs and upstairs. Get more kettlebells upstairs. Keep towels stocked around the gym without running out. Keep a length of PVC pipe (like the ones upstairs) outside the squash courts for shoulder warm up. Fix out of order equipment quicker.
