Convenient schedule, super nice staff, great trainers
We love the staff and teachers at Blue Dolphin - they were great, but we are just looking for a "larger pool" experience and a bit more variety. I know repetition is great for kids, but it felt like half of the 30 minute class is wasted during "stations" - I would prefer more songs, more interaction with teacher/kids.
Also, the bathroom facility is not clean at all and it was always very gross to take my daughter to get changed.
My first swim lesson went from breathing bubbles all the way to full freestyle within an hour!
I was expecting the lessons to be broken down more and only when I get my kicking or kicking on the side right to be able to progress towards adding in the arm movements too. With all that added in in such a short time frame, I either stop kicking or can't get my head out all at the same time.
I’m not confident or sure when I should come back for my next lesson as I practice on my own. If the advice is I need to practice and fix it on my own then I’m terribly lost. To be honest I got more out of watching some of your YouTube videos which broke a few things down.
friendly, easy, accommodating, great instructor
Not at all disappointed. I would just probably say that the lessons were good not fantastic. I would be more interested in a class that was a programmed class not a drop in with skills that could be developed and built in over time.
You can sign up for an Infant-Toddler 1 class with a three month commitment to get a particular day/time, coaching, and a stable set of parents and kiddos to take the class with. We encourage coming multiple times per week because it helps your child to acquire the skills faster and easier. The three month time period is great because you will see progress.
The classes that we have space for Pearachute (drop-in) clients have greater client turnover and are not guaranteed to be available week-to-week, so you might have a different instructor and get more introductory overviews of the program because the class turnover is higher.
We don't recommend coming to us through a drop-in program like Pearachute if you are looking for your child to learn a skill or if you want consistency.
The instruction was a 10 out of 10. The "feel" of the space was a little drab for a child class. The bathrooms/shower areas felt very dark. The waiting area felt stale. I would focus on making it brighter/more welcoming if you want to continue to attract more parents.
There are two factors going on: (1) we had an electrical failure late last week and it caused us to lose some lights in the lobby, and (2) the lights in the bathroom are in fact a little too soft and low in wattage. An electrician came in on Saturday to fix the lights, and I will go and increase the wattage on the bulbs in both bathrooms.
We are working with a designer and organizer to work on better using our space and improving our functionality. While we can't make the look-and-feel completely kids focused because we do 40% of our business with adults, we are working on brightening up the space a little bit -- and not just with bulbs.
Excellent coaches. They are very professional. They like to swim and they want the students to succeed and enjoy swimming. The lessons are planned.
Friendly and helpful, as always! Great feedback on swimming and suggestions to improve
Coach Elia is an excellent instructor.
The size and the friendliness of staff.
Very personable. I enjoy my TI weekly swim with Claire as well
The one-on-one attention/instruction. The cameras in the pool to view and correct mistakes
The pool water is warm, the room is warm, so the little ones do not hesitate getting in the water! My son really enjoyed his class and the small group setting worked well.
Great pool, great staff, great teaching!
Coach Fritz was amazing!
Only issue was temperature in Swift school, and locker room were extra cold. I think that water was warmer than air temperature around.
The instruction provided by Fitz was excellent. The communication prior to the course was also very good.
Skilled coach and video capability
Coach-Jason was awesome!
The staff and ease of scheduling and reschedule. The pools are awesome!
The facility ñ is small. I have a baby and there was not enough space to change all the kids in the bathroom. There were only 3 kids and there still wasnt enough changing tables so i had to wait with a wet shivering infant. The service is great! Everyone was very nice and attentive.
Encouraging positive atmosphere to improve your swimming.
I like the instruction of the classes, flexibility in scheduling and make-ups, that there are options for both private and group lessons, and that there is the swim studio along with a deep water pool.
I appreciate the strong attention to proper technique that my child receives in his swim lessons
Friendly people and small environment. Also, it's warm.
the great instructional staff
Excellent instructor
The small class size. For me, individual attention is key.
I have yet to find out as I'm on a waiting list, but so far the people have been helpful!
Responsive, timely, good instructor
Cleanliness..... the bathrooma / changing rooms could really use a deep clean or renovation.
