The attendant that helped me was very welcoming and friendly. He was very much aware of the different types of shoes and was very patient helping me find the right shoe for my foot/activity.
Super easy and quick experience shopping at Fleet Feet. I left with two pairs of shoes that work great for me! Definitely beats the uncertainty of shopping online for quality workout shoes.

She was given several pairs to try, that matched her needs based on the foot analysis. She found a pair she loves, and the price point was reasonable. Thanks!

Quality shoes, wonderful staff
I LOVED the young lady (74:Cathryn) who helped me!! She was AWESOME!!! She was attentive, professional, knowledgeable and fun to work with!! After she did her measurements /scans/ chatted with me about my needs and issues etc. She picked outva pair of shoes. They were very good. I communicated my concerns and she got a half size bigger and several other pairs. We tried the alternatives, and then the originals in the larger size. Those were perfect!! And the knee pain I was having while walking is now gone!! Please thank Cathryn again for me and give her a raise!!!
Michael was very knowledgeable about the different series of the brand I was seeking. He brought out several pairs for my consideration and took his time explaining the differences. It was a great experience and I will definitely be back.

I received a $100 gift card for Christmas from our daughter who lives in Bucktown. She loves Fleet Feet and wanted me to purchase my next pair of running shoes from you. It was extremely hard to use. It took me 5 trips to your store to be able to get someone to help me try on and purchase shoes. First, I walked in the store and was asked if I needed help. I declined for the moment, took about 10 minutes to look at the selection of shoes and came back to the front. At that time, I was told that now it would be a 45 min wait because of people ahead of me - which I didn't have.
The next time I came in, I showed up 10 minutes before opening and was told by a man unloading boxes that the store was not open yet. So we went up the street, got a cup of coffee and came back about 20 minutes later. I was asked at the front if I had an appointment (with a little attitude.) I was told that it was a 30 to 40 minute wait. We would now be running late for the event that we came downtown to attend so I came back about an hour before close where the woman told me that I should have put my name on the waiting list 4 hours ago.
A couple weeks later, I called for an appointment to avoid the same situation and was told that there were no appointments made for the weekend. When I tried to explain that other people had appointments the last time I was downtown, she interrupted me and restated your policy that appointments were only for Monday through Friday.
I came to the store again over the weekend and the gentleman who waited on me explained that apparently the system had recently changed. He was extremely knowledgeable and helpful. I am very happy with the shoes and socks purchased - about double the original gift card by the way. With that being said, I would not recommend this experience to anyone. I am happy that you have so many customers and are that busy. We want businesses in Chicago to do well and support the runs/organizations that Fleet Feet does, however there are other running stores that offer a similar service without the hassle. One thing to possibly note is that I'm over 60 - yet purchase at least one pair of running shoes per year.
