A variety of classes (with no extra charge), the staff is so kind and helpful, and the facilities are clean and kept in working order.
The teachers are very caring and my child enjoys going, my kid was very hesitant with new experienced but the teachers have made it enjoyable.
I love the family-friendly environment. And, the Y has everything I need to get back into shape.

The people at the front desk are always friendly and helpful. I like that I am able check the schedules on the web site. I just wish your hours of operation were a bit longer.
I’ve been attending Aqua fit sessions on Wednesday morning with Emily D and it’s wonderful. I’ve also been amazed at how nice everyone is, from staff to members, everyone has been super nice.

The Soundview YMCA is so welcoming there is always so much to do and everyone is awesome and ready to help with whatever you need! Highly recommended especially if you have kids!
Protect the relaxed atmosphere of yoga classes from the aggressive participants in the class that follows.
Create real boundaries that allow yogis to collect their things and exit the class peacefully.
Offer a morning yoga class on Saturdays.
Bring back silver sneakers. Monthly dues are expensive.
It has created an environment where our child has gotten a chance to be creative, have fun, and most importantly develop friendship in a safe environment!
What do I like most about my Soundview Family YMCA Membership experience?
Well, the answer for me is the word " Family ". From the moment you get there, there's someone who's greeting you with a friendly smile - and it's a staff member who's been there just like Family. Some days at the front desk it's Matt, or Sebastian, or Patty, or Michelle. And with the members, you make a connection with folks you see every week.
My Granddaughter started swimming lessons with Valerie who runs an amazing Y Swim program. There's Colleen who is my MVP as she runs the Wellness classes, programs etc.
Another key for me is the grounds/ facilities inside and out is always immaculate. And Derek the Facilities Manger gets my thumbs up for ensuring a safe environment to workout 👍
And Last but not least, Matt the Executive Director of the Soundview Y. He's built a winning culture of professionalism, respect for the members and creating an environment where people feel seen and safe. From summer camps to special events , working in the community with volunteers - Matt shows up and he has put in the work. My membership goes back to 1999 when the facility was built - I'm retired and for me, this is my Happy Place. Thank You Director Matt and The Soundview Y Staff. Namaste 🙏
