I can not imagine under what scenario I would refer a person to a professional Realtors board for? As a realtor I am required to be a member and that is fine, but why would I refer you to a friend or business associate? Unless they were interested in getting into the Real Estate business what would be the purpose?
How easy it is to find information and everyone is very helpful.
Some of the education classes are a little redundant - hard to make them different, I agree, but with what I see out there, even the 2year CE doesn't seem to be making a difference on the day to day rules. There are a lot who don't know what they are doing.
I always recommend mainstreet for classes though. I just wish so many were at the sat facilities - not via video. I understand why though.
I rely on them for the conduct of my business.

The association is very professional and offers their members a large verity of help. The contracts are very useful and I find being a member of the Chicago Association of Realtors I find that some of your contracts and disclosures are better. I do think the association should add a cloud based storage of the contracts you add in the Main St website so you can save the a folder by address or name the folder, and then add the contracts you fill out. Then it makes it a nice option to go back to the contract or disclosure that was filled out and saved to be able to modify, price, changes and so forth, and re-save and print, instead of starting all over from scratch. I have no need for this association other than it granting me access to the MLS. The increase in dues is becoming over the top. No explanation is given, just pay the fee.
