NAR contributions worthless.
I had been asking Jeff Merrinetti on some issues with a municipality and if we could make them to let us sell in "as is" instead of repairing thus they shall allow "as is" sales. Also getting exempt stamps had been difficult with some municipalities where they request pre-sale inspection on these transfers and requiring repairs. Can they do it? These transfers are simply going from previous owner back to the bank and we cannot record thus banks do not do repairs. We have to record everything at the same time when bank lists and sells but that might not work for some buyers with financing where their lender wants to see the recorded Judicial Sales Deed prior. Any help?
I've appreciated having persons that I could call and speak with on various matters, as the managing broker in my office.
Anytime I have called with questions, my calls are answered right away and any issues I may have had are resolved.

With the recent lawsuit, I don't think we are protected.
Everyone is always so very pleasant, communication is good, and offerings are also good!
Can see the benefits of being a member, other than being able to call your self a realtor.
Great support. Questions are answered in a timely manner. Training offered is very good.
Always have been easy to deal with .
Do a better job of of monitoring Realtor claims in their listings...square footage is often exaggerated. Important property features that may not be necessarily a selling point are entirely omitted creating false impression of the true condition and amenities of the property which in turn causes an emotional let down by the very prospective buyers it hopes to entice. People are not stupid and once you mislead them about a feature of the property you have a harder time convincing them that there is nothing else "hidden" from the potential buyer. It is not monitored by the offices themselves which is where and when these issues should be discovered and addressed. Then if misleading information regarding size, style and condition are left in the listing details - this bad information is then relied upon by Appraisers which can create inaccurate valuations.
Great information and keeping your realtors in the know!
Fees for nothing
I love the Mainstreet Organization of Realtors. If I have a Real Estate question about ethics or procuring cause, Kate Sax and her team are always available to give me a good answer. The education provided is excellent, and the leadership is responsive to its membership.
Really, you do nothing for me? At least nothing different than any other group would? On occasion I get emails about events that are not near me and don't seem to be beneficial for me and my business. We also receive emails about discounts on stuff we don't need or that is overpriced anyway so the discount makes it more expensive that competitive items in the same likeliness
Continuing Ed classes, ability to ask questions
Great education classy, very friendly staff each time I’ve called.
Forced to pay high MLS fees. Forced to be in NAR just so I can use the MLS to input my listing.
The staff in the office are very easy to deal with. They're very knowledgeable and it feels like they care. My husband belongs to another real estate board and if I need to call-in on his behalf, I'm not consistently met with the same type of customer service. I'm not trying to say that they don't have customer service. But I think it's because they're so big it's hard to get to know a lot of the realtors. Though I'm not sure how large they are, I would assume that they're much smaller in order to treat everyone like they're cared for.
Mainstreet is a great organization. I appreciate their professionalism and wealth of knowledge/resources provided to their members on their website. Thank you.
Very helpful resources
