It is easy
To get hold of someone who is knowledgeable and eager to help.
Create satellite locations for in-house, hands on training, as well as yearly dues payment options not currently available.
I am new to the system and have been pleased so far. The multi-layered system is difficult to use at times.
Professional Standards, variety of classes
I do not understand the question. Why would I be referring someone to a Realtor's Association? If someone is just becoming a licensed agent and needs to join an association they are most likely going to be directed toward the primary association of their Managing Broker. If their Managing Broker is a member of several he is probably going to tell the agent it is their choice depending on where they believe they will do the majority of their business. In this instance, often, I hear 'if you're going to work in the city you should join CAR, if you're going to be a suburban agent you should join MORe.' - Personally, and not because I am an active member, I do believe MORe is FAR more sophisticated than CAR and I would recommend MORe to somebody having a hard time deciding. If that is what your intent of the question is, then yes I would be highly likely to refer MORe.
Great classes and friendly staff
Take the time to solve problems.
The staff is courteous n knowledgeable always get my questions answered or directed the right way.....I have been a member for a long time. I've have changed boards before because of the office I had changed to...but glad I'm back :)
You have the best resources in the industry to educate the realtors and the real estate companies.
Not allowing the Brokers to be responsible for one day codes, other boards allow it.
The people are pleasant and smart.
Friendly
Please thank Kristi Hernandez at the Downers Grove office for her above and beyond effort to help me get my new office-Equity Illinois up and running. Without her help it is very likely I would still be twiddling my thumbs and waiting for the customary 4 to 6 weeks. Thanks Kristi!
The lack of professionalism and accuracy in our listings gets greater each year. Two areas that drive me crazy: 1) agents putting in square footage of lot sizes and inaccurate tax amounts. Here is my proposal: Any parcel that is platted by the Sidwell company ...that YOU provide for us, should be inserted in the dimensions...no square footages and 2) within 30 days of the new full tax bill amounts being posted by the various counties, the agent must change the figures to the accurate amount and tax year along with the proper exemptions. You currently wait approximately 1 year before you tell the agents to update the taxes...this is not right nor professional. Name removed
I don't see too much of involvement fixing mistakes such listing is attached condo property listed as detached single property, and when reporting to you, nothing changes for months.

Advice
Course selection should include ways to manage and grow business. You have a high level of people who become realtors that have limited business development experience
I like that services are offered online such as dues paying. On the OTHER HAND, our Board should have never merged with another Board (CAR) before hammering out differences in policies. Every week, I get approximately 30 requests from agents who are too cheap to buy a Sentri card who think I am going to drop what I'm doing to provide access to properties. They threaten Code of Ethics complaints against me & fall back on my ethical obligation to provide access. However, if I were to accommodate every request I would dedicate approximately 30 hours of my 40 hour work week (allow 1 hour per appt, travel to & from property then wait for buyers to arrive & showing to occur to lock up). I would also spend about 30 gallons of gas (city driving 15 miles per gallon so 1 gallon per appointment) - or about $100 per week on gas & 30 work hours. Annually that would be over $5000 and over 1,000 work hours. You absolutely MUST require CAR agents to obtain a Sentri card OR ELSE send out a clear directive that if they CHOOSE not to obtain a card for a Board approved tool such as a Sentri box that it is not acceptable to harass listing agents or threaten action. You can't have a policy in place that -- if enforced upon me -- could literally put me out of business.
Resources are great and customer service is great.

I love my Board. Pam is a great leader, with a clear vision. Give Kate Sax a raise--she is level headed and a champion for Real Estate causes.
