I just honestly don't understand the point anymore.
We basically work to buy/sell/rent listings and do free data entry in the MLS only for the info to be sold to Zillow, Redfin, Trulia, etc.
Consumers then access & utilize that information for free, however we are charged to be on their platforms.
The Realtors association should be fighting for us to stay relevant in today's market. We are currently paying dues and fees to provide all of the info that is making the consumers need for us obsolete.
Other than that, overall pleasant to work with. Need more classes out South. Most are in Downers Grove, I don't want to drive an hour for a class.

great initial training program and help or a newbie
Mainstreet is basically the only choice I have. the fees are a bit over. no business no money but there are still late fees for not paying on time.
Most of office seems overwhelmed or bothered with questions. Some follow up answers are vague, incomplete, or passive responses/ forwards are sent in place of answering questions. For courses, packets were received late and majority of the students felt confused about the same questions.
Staff is knowledgable, friendly, and efficient. Programs offered are timely and informative.
Help is always there when you need it
Works very efficiently
Exceptional service, dedicated member response, and solid advocacy or both real estate practitioners and home owners.
MRED is always super friendly and helpful when ever I need to call in. They always get my questions answered right away and take the time to make sure all is complete
Realtors pay for the MLS and work hard to get the listings and therefore the data that is put in it. If any of it is incorrect or does not meet time rules, Realtors get fined. Why is it given away free by the Board to all kinds of un-vetted third parties who have zero accountability on the accuracy of what they post on their websites?
I believe that the past due fees should have been waived with everything thing that has been going on and the trying times it is for brokers trying to stay afloat if you really cared about your members
I am extremely angry with the mishandling of my dues payment that I made on May 21st and then today, June 2nd, was locked out of the MLS for non-payment of dues. I double paid today, with my credit card in order to get back on the MLS. I need to get reimbursed my original $220 payment as well as the $25 late fee because I paid early, not late. Can not get anyone from Mainstreet to answer or return my calls. I have been a member of this board for 36 years and have never failed to pay my bills. This is a shameful display of behalf of Mainstreet!!!
Fast, helpful and friendly service.
Mainstreet services are professional, courteous and knowledgeable.
This is the first time my fees were not paid on time. I have been on the Realtor board for 42 years. We usually get a notice or reminder ahead of time and I received nothing. I'm very disappointed.
I was unable to attend a jumpstart orientation due to being home with my young son and transforming into a stay at home single mom/teacher during the covid 19 pandemic. There was no childcare to watch him during the stay at home order. I am able to attend in June after finding paid childcare already as we enter phase 3, but my account will be deactivated for at least 3 weeks now which blocks my access to the MLS. I have a potential buyer waiting on listings. This is a big issue. I would think NAR and Mainstreet would be truly sympathetic to this situation and allow me to at least try to make a living. I pay $700/mo out of pocket for our medical insurance and I'm trying to make something work out with this profession. I do understand bad timing and making exceptions is complicated, but I quit my job of 25 yrs to become a realtor, paid a lot of money for an ad that is producing buyer leads (all requesting listings), paid a lot of fees/dues, and have been working very hard to help people. This is a massive inconvenience and could cost me clients. For all the good I know Mainstreet has to offer, this is a hard blow to me and my family.
You charged a late fee for services that do not actively enhance my professional abilities.
What about my payment being late altered your financial situation in any way?
Unemployment is at 20% in the country and in a 1099 industry, you are charging late fees for services already rendered. It's embarrassing.
Want the old tax system back
Always there, able and willing to assist in solving problems.

One of the things I appreciate most right now, especially during this quarantine, is the ability to take MRED’s online classes. With a little more time on my hands these past few months it’s great to have the opportunity to master my technology skills with these classes. I also utilize the video library which I find extremely helpful. It offers great tips on how to use all the tools MRED offers to maximum capacity.
The company is always very informative to realtors. I get most of my knowledge from the website. Also the resources that are available to its members are outstanding. I am still finding out about resources that are helpful in my career.
Yes I enjoy the work you are doing.
