the helpfulness of the office staff and the pleasant and knowledge of the technician who sevices my a/c and furnace.
Prices are high for the service. With a $125 service call (Angie's list $25 included), then $227 for a part when the service took about 15 minutes total from door to door, seems excessive. In reviews on the internet, it appears that Standard Heating & Air conditioning is on the high side for this particular service, after I knew what was wrong. But, the high cost of the initial service call is a huge deterrent to "shopping around".

I have no issues with company employees. They are friendly, knowledgeable, prompt and courteous.
I have an issue with company policy. As I had an defective unit installed, the
"patch" was supplied to fix it. I requested an extended warranty on the unit and was denied. I did not ask the unit be replaced. However, I was urged to buy the Smart Club Membership. This is not a very good customer service policy, in my view. I would think an extended warranty should have been offered.
Quick service and very knowledgeable technician.
You have been "inspecting" our furnace and air conditioner for years. Now, for the first time, we are told that there is rust and expensive parts need to be replaced. Rust does not happen overnight.
Further, it appears that the water intrusion into our home may be coming from a bad seal with the exterior furnace venting (which is also located a few feet from an air conditioning unit that you also "inspect"). I have a general contractor coming out next week - if we confirm that as the source, I may be contacting a manager to discuss the damage to our home and furnace. Even a cursory "inspection" should have noted the problem.
Finally, when discussion the problem with my wife, your technician made the statement "you do realize that when metal gets wet it rusts." My wife is highly educated, and I can assure you understands how rust occurs - that comment was not well taken, and frankly, given everything else that has occurred, the more I think about it the more it bothers me.
We have been loyal customers for years, and will wait to get the opinion of our general contractor before deciding on next steps, however, the statement of your technician alone warrants the low rating. I expect better out of Standard Heating. Mark Last name removed
