Member Testimonials
The facility is so clean and bright, and very well maintained. It’s on a CATA bust route which is very convenient. The staff is delightful, as well as the instructors. A big shout out to Chad in membership, we decided to join and are very happy doing so.
The variety of classes are excellent. Can’t say enough nice things💕
Excellent facility and staff but would like to know when men’s locker room renovations are going to be complete. Originally, were told the end of June and still waiting for an update. Also, some fitness equipment including a machine I use to strengthen my shoulder have been removed and I was unable to get any explanation from staff as to whether it is being replaced. Thank You
Nice and helpful staff, scholarship program for low income families, childcare while you are working out, new equipment, lots of treadmills and other machines, great pool
My kids had a great time and wished they could have done another week. I'm not sure what happened in my son's group (Seagulls) but he said they didn't have as many activity options as his sister's group (Ospreys). She got to experience a wide variety of activities which is exactly why we chose this camp. My son still had fun regardless. He did say the pool was too cold so he opted out of swimming most days.
Heidi is amazing! She is so good with the kids. My daughter comes home so happy every day.
My friend would benefit by joining for her health.
Pool and time with friends!
Consistent superb instructors and facility maintenance.
I was so happy to receive the Cornerstone membership for myself and my family this year. I am really enjoying the classes and overall beauty of the Gloucester Y. I have already recommended the Y to my friends and plan to continue when my year is up.
Thank you again for providing this family membership and taking a huge part in my overall health and recovery.
My child had a fun time with the variety of activities offered at Sprindrift. He felt good in his group and trusted his counselors. I felt that the director was a good and prompt communicator and the site looked well cared for.
Beautiful facility. Lovely staff. Great value.
The facilities are wonderful and the employees helpful and very nice.
Great facility! It has allowed life changing results for me.
I love the fact that it keeps my son engaged and coming home happy while excited to go again the next day! They’re BIG on safety, the staff all seem very personable and easy to communicate with especially if there any issues or concerns. Definitely provides me with peace of mind when sending my boy off for the day, I’m a happy momma :)
The girls love all activities especially the waterfront and kayaking. Also the rock wall. And playing gaga ball
The inclusion team and staff are top notch. Heather, Kathy, and Sarah have helped our foster son navigate through challenges throughout his day and have been a great support in helping him have a fun summer so far. Communication has been excellent. We are so grateful that all his needs, specifically his social and emotional are being met at camp. He wakes up every morning excited to attend and asks that we pick him up at the last second so he doesn’t miss any fun.
The staff are amazing. They are well trained and great with the kids.
Getting the kids outside and learning to socialize

One of my daughters is participating in the Beetlejuice Jr. theatre program and the other in Spindrift and the cheer and mini sports mania camps at the Gloucester Y. The theatre program is giving my eight-year-old daughter new confidence and public speaking skills - invaluable!
It keeps my kid busy and having fun. He comes home a peculiar mix of excited and exhausted.
Clean, plenty of cards machines, awesome classes, beautiful pool.
Cons: Air conditioning in cardio area is weak. Purchase floor fans!! There's only 2 available in a space that has over 20 machines. And, there's a need for more incumbent bicycles. Seniors use those and there are people always waiting for them.
I love going to this Y. They have really clean facilities and a great variety of fitness classes and equipment. The staff are always very friendly and provide a positive customer experience. Overall, I find it to be a relaxed and comfortable atmosphere, and this is the nicest Y I've ever belonged to. They also do a really wonderful job partnering with local businesses in Cape Ann to help build a stronger, healthier community,
Clean great equipment and programs
Great facilities, friendly staff and a range of excellent classes.
I use the recumbent bicycles 6 days a week. Almost every day there is a problem with the resistance going down or the TV not working. It is VERY frustrating. I used the same model bicycle in Tucson (Matrix) the last two winters and had the same problems.

We are enjoying the classes, specifically Gentle Yoga, Chair Yoga, and Qigong.
A small point that could be improved: We wish some of the greeters at the front were more attentive. My husband uses a rollator walker and a couple of times the glass "gate" has closed on him because he is slower. The greeters were talking among themselves and not looking so they did not see this. At the Beverly Y, they are very attentive to this and usually hold the button at their desk to keep the gate open as he is going through.
Very friendly atmosphere
Great staff friendly and accommodating! Kids love the camp staff

My Grandson Liam absolutely loves the acting camp. Heidi is wonderful!
She is so great with the kids and always answers my email questions quickly.
This camp is worth every penny.
It is so refreshing having Liam get up in the mornings and look forward to going to camp everyday.
Special thanks to Heidi.
Heidi, you are so perfect to run this camp.
