Friendly, knowledgeable, helpful, non-judgmental instructors. Most of that applies to the members as well. I have made several new friends over my almost-3 years, I usually attend 5 days a week.

Why are you so likely to recommend the Y?

The North Shore YMCA is my happy place! It truly feels like family. I mostly take group fitness classes and have switched to morning classes for the summer. I really enjoy working with all of the different instructors. It always feel like a personal training session. Everyone is so knowledgeable and helpful. Cassie Carlson, Vanessa Lee, Talia Pata and Madison Aberle have made my workouts so fun and rigorous. They take the time to teach correct positioning while motivating us to get better with each workout. Thank you!!

Why are you so likely to recommend the Y?

It has awesome equipment and classes. I would like to suggest the Y consider using recyclable wipes to clean the equipment. It’s a huge unnecessary waste to use the ones that simply fill our dumps.

The staff is what makes this camp worth attending! Every member is focused on the kids! They know them all by name, they create bonds with each child. My son comes home with a new story every day! Even though it’s hard to get out of him what he did that day because he is so excited he just loves it all. Keep up the great work!
