Hunter in the e-gym was so kind and incredibly knowledgeable. Got me set up in my new routine and was so encouraging! Everyone else I encountered at the gym was very nice as well. The gym itself is spotless – everything smells brand new and clean. I've been telling all of my friends, how wonderful your YMCA is.
Great facility and trainers.
It’s beautiful and lots of things to do. Different ways to exercise and socialize. The staff are great. I do have one concern to raise. My daughter and her friends are young adults who all work out int the weight room. They have all had significant issues with men staring at them and borderline harassing them for phone numbers etc. sometimes they are even followed around the gym by certain men. Some of them have complained and been helped by staff. However some have decided not to work out there anymore and this is such a shame. Not sure what can be done but wanted to mention it. Thanks

Equipment is great
i participate in some of the classes and the gym machines and feel healthier for doing so. The most popular classes though are quite full and many feel these should be expanded when possible. there’s a lot of comraderie in the classes. the Y is always updating the facility which i feel is a positive for members also. most of the staff are superior in their instruction and make the time fun and a great workout success.

It’s a beautiful facility with plenty of fitness equipment to utilize and people on hand to answer any questions you may have.

I love the pool and the steam room. My husband likes the elliptical. We like that we can plug our car in the charger when we work out. We also love seeing all the children learning to swim and being cared for. The staff is helpful and the programs are way more than we can use, but we can see others there. It feels like many in our community are served by it.
I really like the Gloucester YMCA. It’s new, they offer a lot of different options for classes and the instructors are terrific.
Clean, vibrant facility. Plenty of staff to help which is great because the equipment frequently moves around or new machines come in.
Would be great if more pickle ball play times were added.

If I could make one recommendation it would be more free weights and PLEASE add a Smith Machine! It really is a wonderful place!!

As a new resident in Gloucester, I had heard great things about the local Y.
I was warmly welcomed by Jeanne at membership and giving a insightful tour by Chad.
I had my first visit to workout yesterday and I'm looking forward to taking advantage of
the many opportunities available at the Cape Ann Y.
Love the classes and pickleball!
From the front desk to the membership engagement process to the floor staff this Y is top notch. The facility is modern, spacious and clean! Great variety of classes, equipment and options to get fit in a welcoming environment.

The after-school program at Plum Cove is incredible. My daughter loves trying new snacks, playing on the playground with friends, and doing fun crafts.
Socialization. The program is helping my granddaughter how to play with other children. Also releasing enerafter a long day of school

Educational but still play based
Everything is clean and the pool was at a nice temperature.
Great care and consistency in each class leader which generates an esprit de corps and community among the regulars. Looking forward to EGYM.
The classes are great and the instructors are wonderful! It is a welcoming place where you can improve your physical fitness at an extremely reasonable cost!
