The Y in Gloucester is the best Y I have ever gone too. I am only a summer resident and will drive 35minutes from Malden Our winter residence to use your Y. I love the pool, the egym and I can't say enough about the classes and instructors. The cleanness is very impressive. I love the showers and the water pressure.

It is a top notch facility with fabulous trainers. The physical plant is very well maintained and the clientele are all very friendly. I enjoy spending time exercising at the Gloucester Y.

The facility is great - well maintained. I enjoy working out with the equipment on the 2nd floor - eGYM is also great. The staff is well trained and always helpful.

Why are you so likely to recommend the Y?

I genuinely love the YMCA, it’s the best value for the dollar I spend, hands down, and my family and I say that every time we go. I really appreciate being able to use multiple locations depending on what I want to do: the pool in Ipswich, aerobics classes in Beverly, and the spin room and hot yoga in Gloucester. The front desk staff are always welcoming and kind, which makes a big difference. I’m 50, and I’ve also become friendly with regulars in their 60s, 70s, and even 80s, seeing them stay active is incredibly inspiring and a great reminder of how to age well. The Y has become a core part of my routine, and I honestly couldn’t enjoy it more.

The Y has great classes and workout space. The pool is awesome. Very easy to use the facility and staff are very helpful.

I would love to see more Pilates classes, and some boxing classes!
