Beautiful facility and great employees!
great facilities
Very welcoming and very responsive!
We recently moved to the North Shore and enjoy the Y as part of our routine to stay on our workout routine. My husband uses the equipment in the weight/machine room and comments on the quality; even if a treadmill or elliptical goes down they seem to be fixed in just a day or so. The eGym is a fun and worthwhile way for me to stay toned. I recently took a restorative yoga class and the instructor (Kristy sp? on a Friday AM) was incredibly professional, approachable, welcoming and made the class worth every minute.

The Cape Ann Y is wonderful. The staff is always very polite and helpful, and the facility itself is beautiful and large with many, many activities! The only thing I wish they had (and have inquired about possibly adding it as a class) is Zumba or Step or some other aerobic classes. Dance (choreographed like Ralph Beaubrun (see link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RV__iu8lR2Y) would be super fun!!
I got the business card of the woman in charge of activities and I have some ideas on how we could try this hopefully!!!

Wonderful staff, beautiful facility, commendable programming.
The YMCA now has incorporated the E-GYM into their selection of workouts. Its a great workout and the program is easy to use. There is always a person available to help. Jayden is a great person to show you the different machines and how to be successful. He is kind and has a lot of patience.
It’s a beautiful facility and I REALLY appreciate the financial assistance I’ve received with my monthly membership. Without it, I wouldn’t be able to enjoy such a great place that I get so much out of. It helps me physically and more importantly mentally.

I can't say enough good things about this Y!!! It's so clean, the staff are friendly and helpful and knowledgeable, the facilities are gorgeous... I love that there's enough space between the machines, so that you never feel crowded or stuffed, and that it's catered to the whole community, so I'm not the only tiny woman in the weights room :-) The pool is beautiful as well, and the lifeguards are very attentive. I also love the free electric car charging -- I use it every time I come. Last but not least, the cardio machines are so clean and well-maintained. Thank you for making this Cape Ann YMCA such a wonderful place.

It’s a gorgeous modern facility, with state of the art equipment and challenging classes. A lovely pool, daycare and friendly staff make it a great place to work out.
Great equipment, people
We have been very pleased with our experience at the Gloucester, Massachusetts YMCA. We have never been a member of a YMCA and decided now that we’re getting older, we have more time to exercise N. I’ve seen we joined. We are very happy with the EGYM and have seen good results from it.
The staff is very friendly and a few times something has been broken, they fixed it quickly.
It’s a good gym
I love that snacks are provided and that there is always a range of activities to keep kids interested and occupied during after-school time.
We just moved back to Gloucester (after many decades living away).The new Y is a very powerful draw. The facilities are top notch and nicely maintained. What we like best is the people. The staff are beyond friendly. We greatly appreciate the intergenerational clientele. Dads with the tiny daughters, cocky middle schoolers getting “jacked” and mature adults like us shoveling against the tide. It is a wonderful Norman Rockwell tableau and it draws us in multiple times a week. Would be a reason to move to Gloucester, if there were not so many reasons already.
