Demerits:
The phone tree insists on telling me FOUR times that the phone line is recorded for both inbound and outbound calls by the time I get to my local service unit. Once is enough, thank you. We should simply be given the local service unit phone number as new customers to save the trouble. I can handle a separate number for billing issues if I need to get to corporate.
Most phone trees suffer from using announcers with quiet, higher pitched voices and Superior is no different in this regard. Older people especially need lower pitched voices to have the best opportunity to understand what already may be a frustrating experience with a phone tree.
There was a safety block on filling the tanks, but Superior did not remove the block after the service technician installed the new tanks and did the standard safety tests. He told us that because there was a transmitting device on the new tank, that we would automatically be filled when the level dropped. It dropped to 3% before we realized no one was coming to fill the tank. I think the service department should be authorized to remove the block so service could resume as normal, and/or be informed on their work order that there is a safety block on filling so as to remind the customer of the block. The tanks should have been filled immediately after completing of the installation and safety checks.
Superior is a good company! Just a few rough edges which I hope I can help resolve.

Service was great! Easily ordered a refill, was given a delivery timeframe, and when I got home, tank was full. So fast and convenient. Would recommend this company to anyone who uses propane!!!

When we ran out of gas, Superior Plys Propane responded immediately. A crew came out to check our tanks, replaced an older one with enough gas to get us to a full delivery which happened in 3 days. They then relit all the pilots in the stove and furnace.

Your delivery guys are amazing but your schedulers or dispatchers could def use some help. I have a detached garage and even after many calls they refuse to schedule both the house and garage at the same time. Why? I have had the house filled and a day or two later another driver shows up to fill the garage. It bothers me that a driver stopped for nothing.

Automated deliveries and friendly people
We ran out of propane Saturday. I guess the formula didn’t work: it happens. I called and Jon was there in less than two hours. He filled the tank, checked for leaks and made sure the furnace was working before leaving. That’s customer service.
I have had Allied Propane for over 30 years and have never had any problems. If I had questions a human answered the phone. Best of all Allied Propane is local if something needs additional service they can be at my house very quickly.
I use Allied Propane budget plan which spreads my payment over the year with automatic payment.
I only use propane gas for my living room fireplace, so my needs are less critical than someone who heats their home or requires propane for cooking. Regardless, the service has been good and the guys that fill up the tank have always been nice and friendly.
I will add that there was a bit of a challenge, adding a credit card to make a payment on the website, but I eventually figured it out.
They care about their clients, they let you know in advance your delivery schedule.
