In August 1999 I purchased three bikes for my wife and two eldest children from the Kerrisdale branch. That brings a certain bond. I have been back there many times since. The person who runs the store, Chelsea, is very knowledgeable. She has also worked hard to help me deal with problems arising from the purchase of two Giant bikes from the Giant store on 4th Avenue. Chelsea had some great ideas concerning the replacement of the rear hubs after only a short period of use, when they were compromised by the ingress of water. I have always been impressed with the servicing at the store. What worries me most is that a new development might lead to loss of continuity with the outstanding care and service provided. I suppose that is progress, but I really enjoyed working with West Point cycles at Kerrisdale for almost 2 decades. I shall not be returning to the Giant store on 4th. I had some very dubious experiences with servicing of the two Giant Talon 2 bicycles I purchased from them. Big mistake!
