Steamboat Ski and Bike Kare has great customer service; Every staff member that I have any interaction with over the years has been friendly and knowledgeable. When I started shopping for a new bike in June I first went to SSBK only to find their inventory was backordered and I couldn' expect the bike I wanted until September. The staff member told me I could reserve a bike, but suggested that if I was hoping to get one sooner I would probably need to look elswhere. I went to another bike shop in Steamboat and was never waited on, not even acknowledged that I had come in to shop. I looked online nationwide and found that bicycles were extremely hard to come by this year. I went back to SSBK and put a deposit on the bike that I wanted, not expecting to receive the Trek Marlin 4 until September. This past Monday they called to say they had just received a Marlin 5 and would I be interested in it. I went in the next day to check it out, but it hadn't yet been assembled and was scheduled for assembly that day. At 6:30 pm I got a telephone call and a followup email saying it was assembled and ready for a test ride. I went in the next morning early, took a spin and found that it fit me well. I bought it right their. I would recommend Steamboat Ski and Bike Kare before I would even condider another shop in town. Friendly, knowledgeable and responsive. You can't beat that.
Great products. Harry has established an organizational culture that values each customer and work family member. Prices on bikes are reasonable particularly if you are a repeat customer.
