Great customer service.
Took time to compare sizes and models.
They boxed and sent my bike across country. Nicely done.
Service, good products
Always congenial, providing top notch customer care and bicycle repairs, you've been my go to place for years. Thanks for always being there!
Winston is incredibly knowledgable and helpful. So glad he was there to help our family choose the right bike for our needs. Also, the store has a great selection of bikes, helmets and other accessories.
Friendly staff and good selection
Erik is an incredible mechanic and the service overall is great. Personable local bike shop with good peeps and a descent range.
Good service (not cheap though). However, twice I was told that my bicycle would be ready at a certain date, but it was not. The first time I came to the shop, as I was told to when I deposited my bike. In the end it took 10 days, apparently also because brake pads had to be ordered. So better communication would have been appreciated.
Service department is amazing.
The best service and mechanics.
The mechanics are super helpful. Would be nicer if there were more social events, group rides of various levels, classes (e.g. how to clean your bike without contaminating your disc brakes, how to check and change tire sealant, how to change your bike chain, how to fix a flat),
I was in the store to buy shoes and pedals for my road bike and couldn't get a sales person. Actually, based on this one experience, the score would be much lower, plus you missed the opportunity for a sale.
Disappointed that it takes 1.5 weeks for bike tune up
Top notch products, excellent, prompt, follow through and great service.
Fantastic service department! Tuned-up my road bike on time and answered all of my questions! They even gave me some free mechanical advice to help me ship my bike across the country. Super helpful! Super fantastic service department!
Excellent service
Leo always gives great service and shows me what he is doing, which I truly appreciate as I aspire to be able to do more for my bike on my own.
Amanda is always a great source of knowledge on bikes and nutrition.
You guys have worked double time and more since Covid. Thank you!!
Scheduled replacement of wheelchair tire. In at 10 am when store opened. Request took, request completed 1pm and received call wheel was in place and ready. Picked up wheelchair around 1:30pm, and back in home. Great job. Pleasant staff. Quick and complete service.
The I Martin service on my bike was performed well, and quickly!
Staff was very helpful

repairs done well and in timely fashion...
I am a new customer and this was my first time bringing my road bike in for service.
I am disappointed in my all around experience. From service, to sales, to check out:
Service: I felt like I was a hassle to deal with and my questions were silly. I didn’t feel welcomed or engaged with - it would have been great if someone would have engaged with me the service included in $160 tune up. Im new to cycling and could really benefit from some friendly feedback.
Sales: I inquired about new shoes and was met with a lot of sass from the sales person. When asked which shoes were most popular for triathletes the response I received was “oh your doing triathalons, we’ll you’re not going to win so it doesn’t matter which shoe you get.” This was not only discouraging but off putting.
Check out: the women whom checked me out after my services were complete was very short and slightly hostile when I asked her what was included in the price. Her response was “a tune up” to which I replied I was aware of and wondered if I could get a breakdown of the service. She seemed extremely annoyed and ripped my credit card receipt off the terminal with force and just asked for my signature “basically they took apart your bike and put it back together.”
All in all I left the bike shop very unsatisfied with the customer service I received. As a new client and potentially one who would have spent money in your store on gear and future bike assistance, I can’t say I’d return.
My cannondale is covered in oil drippings all over its black surface and some of my gears seem off track. I’d like to have it remedied but may go elsewhere for more friendly service.
I hope this helps. I’m bummed
Great service
Not much. Little bit pricey and what I wanted wasn't in stock but I'll keep coming back. All in all this is a great store.
Knowledgeable service. Thank you!

My family has been customers of Helen's Cycles for 30+ years. We have never had an issue before this most recent purchase, nor have I ever written a negative review for any product or service. Please excuse the lengthy feedback, but I think it is important.
I came in to purchase the Electra Loft 7D Step Thru bike in July after debating the purchase several months prior. I am an elementary school teacher in the area and had won a $500 Visa gift card as an award for my teaching efforts and was so excited to use it toward my dream bike. I could have gone to any bike shop but trusted Helen's. I was looking forward to spending my summer break riding my bike. I am 5'4" and assumed I would need the small size bike. Despite my questioning, I was assured that the medium size bike was the right fit for me. I tried the bike and noticed my toes barely touched the ground. Again, I was assured that I needed the medium (no small bikes were in stock so perhaps this was a sales tactic). When making the purchase, I was told that the $500 gift card toward my purchase would be non-refundable. I assumed that would be just fine, as I had no intention of returning the bike (again, I had been convinced that the medium was the right size for me). In order to have even some part of my toes touch the ground, the reflector had to be removed from the bike for the bike to be lowered sufficiently. At that point, I should have questioned my purchase but, of course, trusted the salespeople at Helen's to sell me the correct size. After riding the bike home, I knew it did not feel right. I checked the specs on the Electra website and saw that the small bike is meant for someone 5' - 5'8" (at 5'4", I am right in that range) and the medium bike was meant for someone who is 5'6" - 6'3". I brought the bike back to Helen's that same day but again was told that I was wrong and that the bike was a great fit. I was also told that the small bike would be too short for my frame (this is not true – the only difference between the two bikes is that the seat goes lower on the small bike, which is what I wanted; the length of the two bikes are the same). I took my bike home again, unsure what to do and unable to comfortably ride it. I went to two other bike shops that had the small Loft bike in stock – without any hesitation, the salespeople told me that I would need the small bike. In the end, I was able to trade in my medium bike for a small one at Helen's. I had to wait a month for the delivery and the time frame would have been longer had I not persistently called and emailed Helen's to check on the status. Though I am now not able to enjoy much of my summer break with the bike (I return to school next week), I am happy to have a bike that is the right fit. I hope that no one has had or will have a similar experience to the one I did at Helen's.
