Service wasn't so great on this day. Staff didn't seem as interested in helping and were a little hard to talk to. They did some adjustments for me, but those actually made the shifting problem worse, and I had to go home and figure out how to adjust it myself to get it working properly again.
Great vibe at Helens Santa Monica, have rented a Cannondale road bike a couple times for my rides in Malibu, Adam gets you sorted promptly, they set you up with everything you need and have a great selection of nutrition, kits and equipment for purchase.
Shop is well laid out with large range of budget to professional level road, Mountain and electric bikes. Staff are knowledgeable and helpful.
I have not used their workshop yet but they appear to have many bike techs and good quality tools, the rental bike i have hired has been well maintained every time.
Great service and they give a great 1 year warranty for any repairs you may need!!
Great job, very effective, nice staff, quick service. The only thing is that I asked for a kick stand to be added to my bike and they said that they would do it but forgot. I don't need a kick stand but it would've been nice. Just because they forgot about that 9/10, but really amazing staff.
This was my first time buying a bike (and visiting Helen’s) and I couldn’t be more happy! I worked with Johnny and Cameron and they listened to my goals, gave very insight advice and didn’t push me into any purchase. I felt comfortable and looking forward to go back and buy additional gear!
Edgar is the best bike tech in the South Bay and Daniel runs the best bike shop in all of LA. Great service, great merchandise and great people working there. Always grateful.
The repair department under promised and over delivered. Initially I was told 1-2 days to repair my rear tire. They got it done within a few hours and at the price quoted price. Thank you so much!

Really was hoping to be able to swap new casette & cranks on a bike I ordered where the mfg was inflexible on changing those options.

He explained everything about my new bicycle and asked me what I noticed about each test drive to ensure I was confident leaving the store with the right selection. As someone who had exclusively ridden CitiBikes in NYC the past five years (new to SoCal), he was super patient explaining everything and ensuring I left happy with my bike. I was recommended to the store by my good friend Robert Mitchell, who lived in Venice for 20 years, and I am so glad I listened to him. I won't think twice about where I will go for all-things bicycle related in the future. Thank you!
