I've been going to be BSP on Pacific for years. Time and time again, I leave impressed by the caliber of the staff. I love the small bike shop feel that it has.
Lots of people have come and gone over the years for various reasons, so I have dealt with a lot of people, and I haven't been disappointed yet!
When it comes to bicycle maintenance, they never gouge you. At times, I've come in for something really minor and they've charged me a very small amount, like around $10, and in some cases told me it was fine and that there would be no charge.
I feel lucky to have such a great bike shop close to home that has great people, a wide selection of bikes, and is reasonable.
I can't remember the name of the tall lean blonde guy, but he's awesome! So is Jade, Mark (no longer there), and others I have dealt with but whose names I don't know.

We really liked this purchase - Trek Rail 5. Price was great. It was very convenient with the shop being open on Sunday. We took it out on our local hills today - it made Pineapple Express boring (haha!) - loved it! It is an excellent product - nice suspension/geometry - they nailed it with the Bosch motor. The staff is easy to talk to, very knowledgable, and welcoming. I have bought 6 bikes from BSP, starting with their Vancouver location. I find their pricing is very competitive, and more importantly they sell top Brands, all the accessories, and provide great mechanic service.
I have bought bikes from MEC, La Bicicletta, Caps, and others , actually including Woodwards when I was a teen.
I and my friends and family are buying at BSP North Van now.
