I live in the U.S. and at present, I can't visit without quarantine. I speak to my parents regularly and I understand that they are doing well considering their health issues. They appreciate the visits and the company. They are not tech-savvy and they can't even work a cell phone. My brothers and I, none of whom lives less than 3 hours way, need to rely on reliable help for them. We are comforted by your attention! Maybe you can convince them to get a wearable alarm service (Help, I've fallen and I can't get up!) That's what put my dad in hospital in February and it was a close call!

When looking for in-home nursing care for my father after a sudden and unexpected surgery, Nurse Next Door was the first company to answer the phone and available to help when I called on Canada Day (other companies either didn't pick up or said we'd have to wait until the next day - yet health care doesn't take a holiday).
I was looking for a company that was 24/7 in terms of communication and health care services, and if one nurse was unavailable, another one would show up. Knowing that we would not be left on our own without help was a relief that patients and their families need when they have so many other worries to consider.
It was also nice to have Nurse Next Door work with us to fit our schedule and accommodate any of our needs/requests. Your understanding and discretion regarding our health care and privacy was greatly appreciated.

Nurse Next Door - I passed their booth at OTMH in October while my mother was in the hospital and I was wondering how to cover the time I couldn't be with her as I live 1 1/2 hours away. They came within an hour to her room and we set up a schedule for someone to visit with her the nights I wasn't there to help her with her meals and get her ready for bed as she is also legally blind. It was a relief for me and for my Mom as she didn't have to spend the entire day by herself. She was back in hospital in March and I was again able to use their help immediately.
My Mom liked the caregivers and I liked the quick response I was able to get.

I can count on NND to maintain a consistent schedule, which is essential for my mother. But they go above and beyond just the service to get to know us and meet our very particular needs.
