The workshop with Amber Field was wonderful - I really appreciated the supportive, creative atmosphere that Amber brought and her sharing her journey so generously with us to help "free our voices!"
The instructor and class was great, though the classroom was a bit too crowded.
I would love to see Susan back on the schedule. I love her alignment-focused classes!
Cleaner bathroom (water and bits of TP and paper towel on the floor - at least I hope it was water!). Blankets, blocks, bolsters, etc. were very messy. Whether or not they're clean, the impression was that they weren't. So, quick swab of the bathroom floor, neaten up the equipment area, otherwise great :)
Great instructors.
Great classes, great staff, great studio...my only comment is that the yoga mats were quite smelly. I think it may be because after the last class of the night the mats are cleaned but then they are stacked one on top of the other. Storing them this way does not allow them to dry properly leaving behind a musty humid smell. At my studio after the yogis clean the mats we allow then to dry flat on the floor, not stacked that way they air out as well. Normally I bring my own mat but as I was travelling from out of town I did not do this. It was quite noticeable and despite that "being clean" they certainly did not "smell" clean.
Based on Maggie Anderson's class I would have rated Sea Studio much higher. However I found Beverly's Saturday morning class
disappointing - I used to attend Susan Van Zaig's Hatha at that time and always loved being at Sea in the early morning. I know a Hatha class can embrace many things but found the class to be very heavy on Kundalini and not very well planned. Not what I expected from Hatha.

I have taken great classes from you in the past, but was rather disappointed with the 8am class I took this Saturday. I went to it hoping for a hatha class, but it was heavy of kundalini, which is great, but not when you are wanting a hatha class. I also felt that there were new students to yoga who were not getting an accurate representation of what your studio can provide them.

The variety of classes and teachers
You are one of the more "affordable" studios and I appreciate how easy it is to hold/cancel my membership during the times it is not within my budget.
I would say cost is one of the leading reasons/excuses people have for not doing yoga. I know it is the only reason I ever hold my membership.
Great space...liked one of your teachers better than the other...nice to have a teacher that provides modification options. Also enjoyed class that was less full than the initial class which was packed. Generally good overall though.
Flexibility of schedule - there are enough classes that it is easy to fit one in to one's schedule.
Calibre of teachers - very good.
- the teachers are highly skilled
- the front desk people are consistently polite and helpful
- there are a large variety of classes
Friendly staff, great instructors, yoga mats provided, tea always available.
Friendly, not pretentious, welcoming for those new to yoga.
The class I went to was very unique. Haven't had an experience like that in a yoga class ever!
I attended the Restorative yoga workshop on April 12 and had a bit of confusion regarding the space it was going to be in. The payment confirmation e-mails advised to check event page for location. Checked the event page, and it was already taken off. I assumed it's the Sun studio but decided to call and found out it was in the Sea studio. I thought it's just me...
When I arrived to the class two other people ended up in the Sun studio and we waited for them to come to the Sea studio.
Please keep an event posted on the event page until it is over (the next day).
Thanks,

I have only attended one class so far. I am quite impressed with the instruction.
Overall welcoming atmosphere and as a beginner I did not feel completely intimidated in the class.
The variety of classes, times they are offered, and friendliness of the staff.
a larger change room/locker room/a little more ventilation
Quality of your teachers.
Lots of classes / good teachers
-playing pop music during the class (like Katy Perry), I find it distracting and not an oasis from the world of pop muzak
-one bathroom, people take ten minutes each in there because they are changing, so you have to wait a in a long line for the washroom and class is starting (there should be a sign saying only use corner for changing)
everything; people, peaceful space, variety of classes, teachers
Great studio vibes- good community feel and awesome locations
Every teacher I have had has been excellent, welcoming and taught me something different. Even though each one has a different style, all have made me laugh, feel enlightened and open by the end of my practice
You should have to take out door shoes off before going into the same room as people coming back from the studio bear foot.. I got wet dirty feet before putting my socks and shoes back on :)
Love this studio! Great teachers! Open and inviting environment. Tons of learning to be had. Tons of variations. No judgements! I feel completely comfortable and feel like I can try new poses and be supported. Great work!! Love Yeva's classes!! Best yoga teacher I have come across in Vancouver!
My partner is also a semperviva member and we have an 18 month old baby. The only time we can get childcare is weekend afternoon and there is no classes for us to go to together on the weekends in the afternoon. Thank you, First name removed
