Everything!
I would like to have more hatha yoga lessons available taught by Peter Elmas, he is an amazing instructor!
And sadly every time it seems that he is teaching less and less days a week.
The last two classes I have been to there are way to full. One of the reasons I had stopped going to your studio was because there were no caps on the class size.
Flexibility of classes, locations close to home., great instructors
I think you are doing a good job at present. You are very fair at extending passes, etc and I feel loyal to Semperviva for that reason and others. Bless has always been a good teacher. I haven't been to Semperviva for awhile and I noticed continued improvement on her part. Bless's language-ing is superior. I did not have to look up once for a visual confirmation on what she was asking us to do. Her transitions were well thought out and imaginative. It was obvious to me that she had put some thought into them. It was not just the old standby of down dog as a transition. I like that asana very much and do it everyday but believe there are other ways to transition that are also helpful and graceful. Thank you Semperviva.
Teachers are great.
Time of classes are convenient.
The last class I attended was at the Granville Island studio, great space! The instructor was Nathaliewho was just wonderful; a great teacher with her own unique style, very knowledgeable and I really appreciated the detailed instruction of each pose. I am looking forward to my next class!
Great teacher and great vibe in the room. I'm not that experienced in yoga but felt completely comfortable there.
The studio is extremely dirty. During my last class large ants were crawling into my mat. It smells bad at all times and the mats are never cleaned properly. Very different experience than the other studios which are very clean.
Front desk was very kind and went above and beyond what I expected in terms of helpfulness. Instructor was very knowledgeable, easy to follow and created a great atmosphere.
Everything
clean, easy to sign in, great classes, love the windows in the studio (i will not go to the sun centre because there isn't enough light), everyone is super nice!
Super classes, great teachers, nice space
Location on Granville Island and the many good teachers
Class size always too crowded.
Variety of instructors and fabulous ambiance.
I love the location.
The front desk staff are all always friendly and helpful. Heather is terrific.
The teachers are excellent. I enjoy the variety of teachers and have my favourite for a few months, right now it is Ben.
The reception staff were very friendly and informative and the classes were great, very inclusive.
The traffic noise. Is disturbing but I know there's no solution to that.
I find all the staff very professional, helpful and friendly. The environment is perfect
lots of room and light
Showers are always good to have for those early morning classes prior to work.
Also I always like having plenty of space during a practice (possibly too much) and some more popular classes are somewhat packed in.
Fewer mats for more space between people
Jolene the instructor...plus the welcome I always receive at the studio
Friendly staff
Roomy studio space
Secure cubbies outside the studio
Room to linger after class
Free parking in the neighbourhood
Lots of props and all in nice condition
Very skilled yoga teachers
You need to space the mats out more. It's insane how close they are, they allow for zero personal space. I had to leave a class once because someone was allowed to enter 30 mins late and then took a mat directly beside me despite there being quite a few open mats that were a decent distance away. If we both had our arms out we could've touched each other shoulders. It's not conducive to relaxation and it screams that money is more important than the comfort of your patrons. It's extremely uncomfortable to be so close to other people. It's the sole reason why I wouldn't consider practicing at Semperviva long term.
Ants are beginning to be a problem as well as some classes are too full and one cannot help but extend into the person next to you-space
You could have different levels of yoga, instead of jamming all levels into one class. Its not fair for teachers, and its not fair for practitioners. Also, it would be nice to have people of color teaching...black people, Indians, not just Caucasians and Asians.
I like that it doesn't feel snobby, very open and safe environment, approachable staff, big class sizes. I like that teachers challenge you but also offer modifications. I like that you have so many classes and different styles of classes.
