My mom and I both had massages on Saturday. The masseuse was nice but she talked non stop. Like wouldn’t shut up. We went in there to relax and not learn about someone’s entire life story.
Very clean , very professional
My husband and I were both very disappointed with our massages. The techniques used were not relaxing at all. My m.t. kept digging into my spine, which became painful. I made it clear a full body massage would be fine and he only made a point to work on my back and very quickly over my legs. He didn't touch my hands which we talked about him working. My husband noted his m.t. kept making strange noises. After opening his eyes he realized she was yawning directly over his face.

Everyone was friendly and made my first time getting a massage very nice. I definitely be back again.

The therapist was about 5 minutes past my appt time greeting me, then I laid on the table for at least 5 minutes. I’d guess I was shorted by more than 10 minutes of the 50 minute massage. The massage itself was about as lackluster as I’ve ever received and I’ve had several massages. I’d guess she spent over half the time on my back even after mentioning my shoulder area was bothering me some. I wouldn’t go back….
Customer service
The music could have been a little louder to help minimize the noise. The walls are very thin and it was easy to hear outside conversations and the door opening.

First time going to La Vida. Loved it. Friendly people. Great massage. Definitely going back.
When I pay for a 60 minute massage I expect it to be 60 minutes of hands on technique as with all the other wellness facilities used for over 30 years.
Dear Client,
As per industry standard and as per our: verbal communication upon booking, flyers in the lobby, website description, email confirmation, etc. all state that "all sessions include time for consultation and dressing". Hands on time is 50min for the hour massage and that is what we have been providing since the opening of this franchise.

Very upset that the price was raised without any warning. I was told long time members would not see any increase.
Sorry you are upset with the price increase. We did send out a mass email mid-June to let our clients know as of 7/1/23 the membership price for all would be $69.95 included those grandfathered for the past year. Please check your spam and understand that none of us like increases. We kept our membership at the same price for over ten years. But our costs have gone up like everything else and we could no longer keep it at $59.95 for a 60-minute massage. Lavida still believes strongly that our current membership price of $69.95 is more than fair for the service we provide comparatively. I hope you understand and look forward to seeing you soon!
The center is clean and the staff is very friendly. I have been impressed by each of the therapists I have used. Occasionally, a therapist will leave but I try to keep my options open because I understand that this is a normal occurrence in this industry.
Front staff is very friendly. Have not had a bad massage yet (hopefully won't 🙂). I've had several different therapists and they've all been great.
Kristy has been absolutely amazing for my acne! I went in with some of the worst and most painful hormonal acne I’ve experienced and left with my skin feeling amazing. The next morning, ALL of my breakouts had dramatically decreased in size and were significantly less inflamed, and some were completely gone. Kristy always makes me feel welcomed and is so knowledgeable about the products she is using and why she recommends each.
Madison is wonderful! She is gentle, knowledgeable, and puts you at ease like she did me. I was hesitant and unsure of coming here as this was my first time. I recommend this location because it is very clean, soothing, and near a Chic Fil A!!!!
There is no massage like a Kiran massage! I look forward to these massages days and weeks before my appointment. Just phenomenal!

Friendly and experienced people

I have loved L a Vida in the past. In past 6-8 months, it's harder to get a time monthly due to availability after work(I get out in Kinston at 5 pm or so. Half hour to store depending on traffic so 6 pm or later which is hard to get an appointment. Now it seems you just attempt to bill credit cards as you please! I HAVE never used the card on file-it's my husband's who used to purchase for me for all occasions. Since getting appointments has been SO hard, I had him stop-I'll find somewhere else that has openings monthly. I have NEVER authorized use of the 'card on file' for 'membership, etc.' Anything extra, I paid for in person or online(gift card). My account is finally at zero-doubt I may be back.

The all around service has been outstanding and my massage therapist, Tabitha is awesome!!
Service has dropped this last year. Front desk staff is superb. However, Esthetician has an attitude, and made it apparent she didn’t want to be there and doesn’t give consistent quality facials. She used ice cold water to begin to to wash makeup from my face. I let her know that it was cold and she seemed puzzled. She continued to use the cold water until I made her stop. She doesn’t seem to care about the client at all anymore. She consistently forgets the bolster. It’s a known fact no matter what a person’s height, you need a bolster so let’s aren’t hyper extended. She later said she had to go to the movies with her daughter. That’s no excuse for poor service/bad attitude. She told me she had an opening prior to me and I said I was available to come in earlier, but nobody called me. This is not the quality of facial I would expect after being a customer all of these years. We will see how the new esthetician does .
