Good value
The only thing I can knock are the long waiting times between classes. Although I understand it has to happen due to Covid.
I am really going to miss the gym now you are closed again. Hopefully - we will be able to come back in four weeks.

First of all the Copley Centre is very clean, it’s immaculate. Also the staff are very helpful and friendly. My only gripe is, whilst trying to contact the Centre by phone. No one seems to be there to answer the phone which is highly annoying especially if you have questions regarding health and safety.

Good range or classes, well organised and doing everything regarding the Covid procedures you could not do anymore. Am gutted your closing.

Covid19 measure are all in place and I feel safe in the changing rooms, showers and pool. Only negative point is that some swimmers have been changing at the lockers, not in the cubicle, so the entrance door was clogged up. Not your fault, the users.
Staff are great , get fit and meet new people. 🙂
Felt totally covid secure since gyms reopened due to all the extra measures that have taken place.
The atmosphere
We live close to Active Copley, and have been using the centre regularly since 2008. The staff are all lovely and couldn't be more helpful and friendly and welcoming. We have used most of the facilities over the years (our daughter learnt to swim with the swimming lessons), but currently I do early morning lane swimming, and it benefits my mental and physical health immensely.

1, Meet and greet, informative, friendly, knowledgeable and efficent. Well done.
2, Facilities, seem to suffer from poor maintenance support, and lack evidence of test/legislative compliance. Not so good.
3, Changing area, maintenance of cleanliness suggests ownership. Well done
4, Excercise machines, maybe due to age, are often found to be in some state of failure/wear and tear or with a notice of intended repair that shows no time line information or report.
5, Summary, Good facility for Tameside and its people.
I enjoy coming to the centre as the staff are really friendly & helpful & everthing is well organised going through this pandemic & I feel safe & I really enjoy my swim.
I like the staff and love Medlock gym meeting up for a great workout 5 days a week
