Powerhouse Novi is very close in comparison to Lifetime Fitness. Which is a positive. I use the pool, locker room, hydro massage chairs. I also like that they offer women’s only gym area.
The free included tanning beds are a positive feature.

Front desk guy knew what he was doing, place was clean clients were respectful, lots of equipment to do anything you need. Not very busy when I went on a Saturday morning.

Love everything except the mixed messaging about cameras in the locker room. I don’t have a problem with people taking pics in the locker room as long as they ask the people around them. However, Powerhouse posts “prohibited cameras or cell phones in the locker room” and still reposts pictures obviously taken in the locker rooms on their Instagram page. It would be more honest to change these “camera prohibitions” postings in the locker rooms to reflect the reality that people are going to take pump pictures but should ask the people around them if that’s okay as long as the people around them aren’t in the shot. Maybe a lighted posing room could resolve this as well? I know powerhouse as a brand is really into bodybuilding, and that could feed that aspect as well.

Love all the equipment and classes. It does get crowded. I hate how other people don’t rerack weights or return equipment. Also people taking pics or video of themselves is extremely lame - douchebags.
