Reg Deck was very helpful. He did a thorough inspection, asking pertinent questions and providing feedback throughout. The inspection alerted us to existing and potential issues as well as informing us of suggested maintenance strategies. He was very professional and courteous.

Even though I was not present for the inspection, I found the inspection report to be very detailed, even down to minor details.

I also found the inspection easy to schedule and pay for, which made things more convenient.

The report could be more personal and not so obviously machine generated

Prompt and accurate.

My home was previously inspected by Amerispect prior to my purchase. The inspector was thorough but not nitpicking. I felt he was knowledgeable and experienced with older homes. This time I felt the inspector operated as though he was inspecting a newer home without all the intrinsic “faults” in older houses. Particularly upsetting since many of the items listed were present (and of no concern) when I purchased the home. Also items listed as “rot” such as the porch railing were not rotted. The porch railing simply has a loose spindle caused by me when I was moving in a piece of furniture and knocked a spindle loose - it can be repaired with 2 strikes from a hammer. Why not call it a loose spindle rather than assume it’s rotted? Also, many “concerns” could have been addressed by simply asking a question since I was present during the inspection. Example: the water heater is 6 months old- not 2 years.
