The only reason I gave it a 9 is because of the price-highest bid-and the salesman didn't make himself available in the transition between sale and the start of construction once we signed. We felt like we were being passed off to people who didn't know our project when we had questions. That being said, once the crew got on sight, we can't say enough good things. Corey was phenomenal-very patient with our all our questions. Waylon and Preston were extremely hard workers and also gave input when I had questions. Because my husband was out of town for work during most of the process, having Jeff and the rest of the very knowledgeable team explain things to me, and my husband over the phone, was great. The demo could have gone a little smoother, but I believe there may have been some miscommunication as to when they would be showing up to start. Lastly, the roofer needs to start earlier in the day!!! I was scared he was going to end up in the hospital from heat stroke, and he ended up having to come back on Saturday to finish (again showing up after 8:00 a.m. when I made it clear to everyone involved that we are up by 5:30 a.m.). I would absolutely recommend Royal Covers--especially the team that completed our project. They are the best!

Don Uhlman and his partner were terrific. I am going to have more covers put in and I only want Don and his partner to do the work.The quality of the construction was next to none. The were more than willing to answer any question my wife or I asked.

Long-winded comment: If you don't read to the end, know that I am very pleased with the work and cost of the job Austex did for me. You should probably skip the rest.

I haven't inspected the job, yet. However, everything leading up to the start up was handled thoughtfully and expertly by Austex. I don't expect any problem. I also like to provide written remarks about every kind of service person I deal with when I receive good service.

I own 6 pieces of residential property in Hyde Park and West Austin, and consider myself a pretty saavy guy when it comes to contracting maintenance and repair service. I tend to use "Old Austin" contractors that have been in business for decades, many of which have sold or closed. Over the years Austex has done a few jobs for me, 250 feet of typical 6 foot cedar fencing for instance (I mean how often do you need fencing replaced?), including demo and hauling. I have owned a specialized facility construction company (building ultra-clean manufacturing fabrication spaces) since 1985, and have an excellent idea of what is necessary to do even such small projects.

On this job, I created some problems by missing an appointment, not seeing to it that the resident unlocked the gate when necessary, etc., but in spite of my stupidity, they maintained a friendly and professional attitude, especially given the amount of attention that was necessary for what I consider(ed) to be a relatively small job (60 feet typical 6 foot cedar).

I was pleased from the very start by the attitudes of everyone I dealt with from start to end: Neil Kreitzer, who was considerate and professional, and gave me a fast, well-considered bid and made sure he answered any questions I had. Wel didn't discuss my cost expectations because I didn't want to, but l thought his quote was extremely reasonable. I did not have any other bids, hired them on the spot (based on their reputation, Neil's presentation, and price), and paid my deposit on the spot; Peggy Blend, who scheduled the services necessary (such as utility line location) and construction (Austex scheduled the work with adequate notice and reasonable wait time) - Peggy helped make the job move along well, and stayed in touch with me; and Reina Flower, who checked in at the end of the job, and provided a quick and correct invoice. Once begun, the job took a very reasonable amount of time to finish.

I need a serious repair and restoration on a 60 year old 35'x10', semi-covered, heavy wood, deck cantilevered out from the back of a house, extending on double 2x12s 12 feet out from from the back wall and 12 feet above the lot below. It will be complicated and not cheap. The first bid I will ask for will be from Austex. I expect I will be happy.

Obviously, I clearly am impressed by all aspects of the service Austex provides and highly recommend them for your consideration for fence work. I can't imagine you won't be happy.

I had just got new Roof Job done 3 days when was approached by Beldon of Seattle sales person. We very much needed new Gutters, but price was a little steep, but knowing I would have Lifetime Warrenty on the Job to save also my new Roof job, we decided to go for Leafguard. No rain in site yet so not sure how the Roof nor Gutters will fair I will be looking out for floss on both. I was very impressed on how well the 3 man crew were on doing a Great job on my home. Top notch work from Joe, Mike, and Dom. I would like to say thank you guys for the extra measure that was done in Rochester WA. I hope for Rain to see how well it all falls in place from such great work.

Great workers, great materials, great look. Accent color did wonders for the look off street. Worth every penny to not get on a ladder and clean gutters again.
