This is my first experience with the Villa Park bike shop since J&R sold the business and it became Trek of Villa Park. I was very pleasantly surprised by the staff there, both former J&R employees in the sales department, and Kirk the new Service Manager. Kirk was extremely knowledgeable, fast, thorough, and attentive to providing great service at very reasonable prices. After such good service on my mountain bike, I brought my road bike in for Kirk to advise me on when I went to pick up the mountain bike, and Kirk immediately identified a safety problem with my settings on my handlebar stem. He had the proper new stem installed in just one day, despite the need due to design of old stem, to remove padded wrap, shifter, and brake from one end to get old stem off. Now I can ride much more comfortably as a senior, without the headaches and diminished joy of riding which were due to low handlebar and high seat settings straining both my neck and eyes. Thank you Kirk! Great job and I look forward to a long relationship with my local bike shop and the staff taking care of my cycling needs! Name removed :)

The staff at Winfield where I purchased my bike and the staff at Villa Park where I had the bike outfitted were highly knowledgeable about their products. The shops were clean and well organized with a generally friendly atmosphere. The saleswoman at Winfield showed me how to properly mount a tall e-bike and gave me plenty of opportunity to test ride it. In Villa Park once the fenders and lights came in, it took less than a day to have them installed. Same with the rack when it came in. Everything was installed well and solid.

This bike shop recently became a Trek corporate store from being a locally owned business. I've been a customer for several years and was a little concerned about the recent transition. The old owners and staff were great to work with, and they were the reason I kept going there. I could buy a lot this stuff on the internet, but it's the personal service and expertise that kept me coming back. My recent experience was just as fantastic as it was prior to the change. Kirk has been going above and beyond helping me with my unique issue. Well done Trek keeping this feeling like a locally owned business!
