The experience overall is great! Very close to my home residence (I live about 5 minutes away). It's nice that San Mateo now has a contrast therapy facility, let alone SWTHZ. Employees are efficient and kind to chat with.
I love that it's all still very new. Super clean amenities. Each of my (4) visits so far have been consistent. In the beginning though, I did feel it was a bit slippery transitioning in between modalities (even when I set towels on the floor). But during the last (2) sessions, larger mats were implemented, and better designed steps were placed next to the cold plunge.
For example, in the beginning they had small step stools, and I almost slipped since the surface was mainly smooth. Then later, a larger and more flat platform/step was implemented and had a drying-type surface that was much better for standing on and drying my feet so I wouldn't slip.
That was really my only piece of feedback, but I'm glad it seemed to be sorted out quickly though -- I hope all the rooms end up having that platform next to the plunge!
10/10 would recommend to friends. I am an AVID indoor rock climber and have HIIT routines 5 days of the week, so this is the perfect recovery and start of my work week in the morning.

I like the room experience overall. The cold plunge tub and sauna really helped relieve any sore muscles or tension from previous workouts. The vitamin c shower was nice to have afterwards to freshen up

The staff member who worked the front desk was so incredibly kind and welcoming. (Wish I got her name). She greeted us with a smile immediately when walking in, and she asked if it was our first time, which it was, and she took the time to walk us through everything. We had a great conversation with her at the end as well. The place in general is so beautiful and CLEAN! It truly felt like walking into a luxury spa. The sauna, cold plunge, and shower was amazing as well. Also so clean and well taken care of. Loved that we had the ability to change the light color in the sauna. I also greatly appreciated the Dyson hairdryers available for use in the back. I walked out of the place feeling like a million bucks. Can’t wait to go back!

I love that it's a private room, and I felt like a million dollars afterward. It felt like it regulated my nervous system. Whether or not that was placebo effect I have not idea but I will take it.

I enjoyed the entire experience! From the welcome and explanation that I received from Kiersten to the full experience of the sauna/shower/cold plunge, it was fabulous. I was concerned that the sauna would be too hot and the cold plunge would be too cold (you’re probably wondering why I decided to do this in the first place!) but Kiersten reassured me and gave me some tips. The facility was immaculate and I appreciated having the styling station after. It was both relaxing and invigorating at the same time. I highly recommend it!
