The staff are professional and courteous and people you meet are easy to make friends.
Still wish we had cardio classes (not virtual) mid morning on Tuesday and Thursdays before or after body pump...Stacy at Alexander is an awesome step teacher...step would be great.

We’ve had a great experience at the Y so far. The staff are always warm and welcoming to my family, which makes every visit feel comfortable and easy.
My daughters especially enjoy the Kid Zone while we work out—it gives us peace of mind knowing they’re safe and having fun. We’ve also really appreciated the track out and summer programs, which have been a great fit for our schedule and for keeping the kids active and engaged.
Overall, it’s been a positive experience for our whole family, and we’re glad to be part of the community.
The staff and group classes
I primarily use the Y for group fitness. The variety of classes, times and instructors are great. Knowing how fabulous the instructors are keeps me consistently coming back and achieving my fitness goals. My one recommendation to the Y is to please install more fans in the group fitness room.
There is great balance of teaching the skills for new players in the game and also play. Good sportsmanship is also taught and modeled well.
My son is autistic and this is his 4th season playing sports with the Y but his first playing Football. Noah and his staff are fantastic! They always include my son in every play and answer all of his questions. His teammates are so good to him and encourage him to try his best. We couldn't ask for a better fit for our son to learn new skills, sportsmanship and to continue to grow and be part of a team. His confidence and stamina has vastly improved in a short time. And he is proud of himself which is all that really matters to me. So very thankful for Noah and his team's dedication to bringing out the best athlete in every child regardless of ability level.
I love all the staff members located at the YMCA Poole location. They are friendly and customer oriented assisting in every way that can to make sure you get all the membership benefits. I would strongly recommend this location to all my family, friends and acquaintances.

The women's sauna....was only 160 last Monday. It was set to a 7 - I turned the dial to a 10. A female employee did a "bathroom check" - which I appreciate!!! I think, though, when she checked the dial of the sauna, she adjusted it down to a 8, because when I got out, it was turned down to an 8. I do not think that dial moved to 8 on it's own, right? Can we please make sure the sauna is hot?? 170-180? A 20 minute session is what is therapeutically recomeneded, and at lower temps, I have to stay in there 30+ mins, which takes time away from family, work, etc.
Friendly welcoming environment makes it an easy choice. Staff makes the effort to know your name and why you are there. A real community.
We love the new equipment, it’s smooth and easy to use.
Friendly staff, kept clean, a lot of good classes offered.
The kid zone staff are consistent, attentive and remember my kids name which helps them feel more secure when I leave them.
The instructors are welcoming and encouraging. Robin and Rose are two of my favorites.

Equipment upgrade has been great. I always have enough space to complete my workouts. Facility is always very clean, equipment and facilities get repaired quickly when out of order. The sauna is one of the most important reasons I stay a member. I would like to see a hack-squat machine added.

The people there seem all great the ones working for the YMCA the kids love the Williams exercises on the machines in the track and I like that there’s a sound of there and I can do my work out while my kids are around everything one package under the one roof sounds great
Friendly and well-informed staff, good up-to-date equipment, sufficient parking, and some financial assistance for very low income folks. The classes are lots of fun and very helpful.
The staff are super engaged with the kids!! My daughter always comes home telling me what activities she did at the Y. She actually gets upset if I pick her up too early
