Staff is always super friendly. Love the new equipment in the fitness area! One problem: The handles on the Nautilus leverage deadlift/shrug machine are installed incorrectly, making it impossible to use the machine properly by gripping the knurled portion of the handles. Furthermore, the way the handles are installed forces the full leverage weight of the handles to rest on the small and fragile stops in the handle assembly. Please have someone who understands this equipment correct this mistake. I would be happy to show the equipment maintenance folks what the issue is and how to fix it. It feels very safe to be there. I love the classes I've taken, and I love to swim in the pool. I love that I can go visit other YMCAs too if I'm away from home or want to use an indoor pool. I loved the pool last summer and cannot wait for the warm weather to return!
I’m a new member. I love the group fitness classes. The staff are great and the facility is very clean. I also love the sauna.
I really enjoy the classes at the Poole Family YMCA, and the new virtual Les Mills option is a fantastic addition. The staff is always friendly, and the facility is consistently clean and welcoming. It’s a great environment for fitness and community!
The YMCA is a safe place for all. They always give out warm smiles at the front desk. They listen intently to whatever questions you may have, and give out suggestions. My instructor Laura gave me a suggestion on footwear and where to go to look into the matter. I went and what a difference. I thanked her personally. It made such a difference in my walk.
The events that the Y have are for all ages. They truly care about the family. Im very happy to be a member and I always let everyone that I come in contact know about the Y and that it is a family organization.

Friendliness of staff .
My husband and I love the friendly staff who are always willing to help. The classes that are offered are great. We feel that doing exercise in a well-lite building doesn't make it feel a burden, but fun. We mainly use the track. Thanks for being a great health club. Name removed

The front desk staff are always pleasant. The locker rooms and bathrooms are always clean but most of all the diversity.
Early morning classes!
The facilities are always clean, and there always seems to be something going on or things to do.
From the 1st day I visited, I was impressed with the friendliness of the staff and cleanliness of the gyn. I joined & I've been coming to about 5 classes a week and the trainers are AWESOME!

The people at the Poole Y are friendly and inclusive. As a senior, I appreciate the “Senior” classes.
The facilities were clean. I had no problem getting access to the rowing machine (erg). I enjoyed watching my son-in-law play basketball on the downstairs basketball court.
The YMCA meets a family’s broad range of needs…from light to heavy athletic opportunities, both individually and as a group. Programs are available for all ages. Staff are pleasant; facilities are clean and neat; and parking is plentiful.
