I love the wide variety and availability of group fitness classes with great instructors. And I absolutely love KidZone. I always feel comfortable leaving my children in the care of the KidZone employees while I take care of myself!

The fitness classes offered at the A.E. Finley YMCA are excellent and what truly sets this branch apart from other locations are the incredible instructors and friendly staff. The Finley Y is more than just a gym, it is an opportunity to meet wonderful people and feel like part of the community. I’ve enjoyed being a member for 25 years and greatly appreciate everything Finley has to offer!

Just took my first swim strokes class last night and I loved it! Leslie is amazing! I have so many joint issues that I thought I'd like to try to learn to swim laps and get off of the treadmill and elliptical for a while. There were 5 of us in the group and Leslie was great about working with everyone! Thank you!

There are a great variety of classes available to members. I love the water aerobics classes. The staff is friendly & helpful.

I love the Y. Great customer service, amenities, class options, hours!

However, some of the class content does not align with the description. Specifically, I went to the Strength: Lean and Cut expecting to use only lower weights, but the teacher used low, medium and high weights. This was also the case for Restore & Core: Core and Stretch--although not as much as the instructor did do a few stretches at the end of the class and there was some mat work in the class.

Would be great to have the class align with the content described.

Steam room. I travel 30 minutes away to go to it. There's a Y right around the corner from me but no steam room

It's so nice to see the same friendly faces after years away. The atmosphere feels welcoming and inclusive with such a variety of people of different ages and fitness levels. Haven't had a problem getting to use the equipment I want.

What do you like about your A.E. Finley YMCA - Membership experience?

I normally go to Alexander Family YMCA but chose to swim at Finley due to a larger pool and less people. All of the accommodations were nice, the pool was a comfortable temperature.

The locker room and shower area were clean and spacious.

The coffee station is a nice touch.

We loved the KidZone area and the breastfeeding area in the women's locker room was extremely helpful. I also loved the coffee/tea machine for the members, which is not at the Northwest Cary location that we usually visit.

Friendly and responsive staff. Focused on community and faith. Open to feedback, both positive and constructive. High care factor. Feels and is very different than other Ys I visit during my travels. Thanks for making us feel valued. BTW: on a fixed income, I do wish the year over year "automatic" price increases settle down so I can keep coming to Finley in the years ahead.

Friendly, helpful staff; cleanliness of facility (locker room, steam room, pool and pool deck, et al.); availability of pool for lap swimming; and other amenities (towel service, bottle-filling station, plastic bags for wet items, lockers, etc.).
