I love the pool. It's make living in North Raleigh perfect.
Maintenance of the pool stairs needs to improve. During my 30 years using those stairs I know the Y has tried many things, only to fall back into poor condition. I think a better strategy should be created knowing that it deteriorates continually. Like an ongoing program to refresh to stairs simply but continually.
Also, consideration should be made to swap out the lighting to antimicrobial lights like Vyv. They're reasonably priced and work well. Hospitals use them as standard hall lighting. That stairwell is an ideal environment for these kinds of lights. Fairly quickly that could become a much cleaner environment.
Programs and people are great, and it has a real community type of feel...

the gym is adequate, the space is clean and organized, people who work there are helpful and polite.
The employees are nice, helpful and upbeat. It puts scripture and Christian values on display. It has themed sports displays and activities posted.
Our son loves after school. Getting to expel some of the energy after a long school day of sitting and working is really beneficial.

You have an awesome team that keeps the place humming and that makes it feel like a family environment. It is also wonderful to see the leaders step forward to do things like cover the desk, fold towels, and other tasks like that, because it shows that these leaders do not see themselves as superior or better than their teammates, and this creates a great sense of loyalty within the team. Thank you for what you also do to keep the place so clean and sanitized to help minimize the spread of germs. You run a tight ship, and I am happy to be a member.
I love all the Pilates classes. I would love to have a later one on Mondays- lunch time or early evening? A Sunday class would be great too! The classes are popular!
The staff is welcoming and helpful, there is an excellent variety of classes and activities, the facilities are beautiful and well-maintained, and I enjoy the fellowship with the other members. Being relatively new to Raleigh, it's become my "happy place!"
