I love the classes, the variety of classes; excellent instructors, Good facilities and lockerrooms.
The one focus area of the YMCA that needs improvement is the out of town policy for pool visitors. When we have guests, with kids under 16 visit, the natural place to go is the the YMCA pool, and the policy of paying $25 is ridiculous. The Y should let members bring out of town guests under 16 for either free or less than $5 per visit

The staff is so friendly and helpful! They ask how you and your family are doing and are genuinely interested in your life.
The staff are so kind and friendly and many of them make great effort to remember your name and greet you. The human touch here is incredible. The members are also very cordial and encouraging. I love that there are a variety of classes to choose and every instructor is very nice and tries their best to make your workout fun and rewarding. A truly great place to be!
Community. I’ve been a member since 1989 (with a hiatus in the ‘90s)
BUT:
While I understand the need for class sign-up, I’ve found that it discourages me from class participation. I’ve gotten on waitlists only to be notified that I’ve been moved into the class at the moment it starts— when I can’t get there. I think it might be fruitful to have a required text confirmation 2 hours before class start time, to reduce last-minute dropouts.

Cairo has enjoyed his time with the aftercare program! They are a very sweet staff and it is a great program to allow students to blow off steam after a day of school.

Great choice of Thrive classes. Sign up is easy. People are friendly. Clean locker rooms. Plenty of parking. Beautiful grounds and children’s playground.
1. I live 5 minutes from the YMCA. I'm participating in water aerobics and tai chi.
2. I've met all kinds of interesting people my age. And made new friends.
3. My daughter lives in Bethlehem PA. The YMCA in Bethlehem, Allentown, and Easton are all very small and the facilities are out dated. We're fortunate to have the facility and staff that we have compared to what's available in the Lehigh valley of Pennsylvania.
I LOVE that the outdoor pool remained open for some of the off season. It has helped me relax and enjoy invigorating swims. I enjoy the group fitness classes, have tried a bunch of different ones. They are fun and I always feel better after the class. I value the Y family events as well.

I don’t normally write reviews, I’m only doing it because Judy yesterday exceeded expectations, she gives a big plus to the perks that come with being a member.
Love the Y but parking is dreadful on Saturday. Several times I have signed up for a Saturday class driven around the parking lot for more than ten minutes and left.
I appreciate you opening the outdoor pool this month for the limited hours (T, Th, Sat, Sun).
I know it is expensive to keep open and more challenging to find lifeguards when the universities and high schools are still in session.
I also appreciate you keeping as many lanes open for all of us older lap swimmers (during the school days and when there are just a few toddlers in the pool).

The people who work at the Finley Y are always so friendly. They make my 29 year old son with autism feel very welcome! We have thoroughly enjoyed the outdoor pool being open; it was great to hang out at the outdoor pool on a hot March 7 and April 11!!
