We visited the AE Finley ymca to take a class while the Alexander family ymca is undergoing renovations. The facilities are nice, clean and spacious. Staff is very friendly and accommodating. Enjoyed the visit

The Finley Y is my home away from home. I have made many friends there since I moved to Raleigh in 2020. The staff members speak to me and have made me feel welcome and part of what goes on at the Y.

I love the YMCA, it’s a great facility. I wish though that we had 1 more seated upright stationary bench at the gym as having to all share 1 among everyone at the gym is kind of difficult. Other than that all is well.

Sauna and steam room were both more enjoyable at the lower temperatures. Previously they were both way too hot.
The general manager and the staff are accomandating, friendly and helpful. People who work out at A.E. Finley are friendly and considerate.
It’s a very clean gym! And I love the classes offered!
Recommendations:
-need longer kid zone hours (how about open at 8am so we can make it to the 8:30am group classes?)
-swim lessons need a reminder email sent before classes start that include helpful tips and what to expect. (I was left in the dark leading up to these starting for my toddler and had to call to make sure it was still happening and ask what I needed to do to prepare).

The classes are great. All of the instructors are excellent at what they do.
The staff was so welcoming and kind! I met with Helena and one other person at the front desk but I can’t remember her name.
YMCA sports has been great league for my daughters!
