Very good instructors who were patient, knowledgeable, and supportive throughout the learning process. My daughter gained a lot of confidence and became much more comfortable. The teaching approach was engaging and encouraging, which helped keep her motivated and interested. We are very happy with the progress she has made and would highly recommend them to other parents.

Swim instructor was great ! She was very patient, kind, very good at explaining how to do swim strikes and dive.

My kids had an amazing time at Camp on the Lake! We love how well-organized the camp is and how enthusiastic the counselors are! The outdoor water and land activities kept my children engaged, confident, and excited to go back every single day. Thank you guys for creating such a fun, safe, and dynamic enviro.
As a first-time parent here, my only suggestion would be to consider creating a private parents' group or photo platform (like a private app or group) to share daily photos with us. Since this is our first year, I haven't seen any photos of them by the lake. I know some camp photos are posted on Instagram, but as a parent, I'm uncomfortable with my children's photos being shared on public social media. A private channel for photo updates would be greatly appreciated!
Close to home, lots of equipment for working out, always see staff cleaning & lots of activities & programs we can participate in.
There is a positive and friendly vibe. It is great to see so many generations enjoying a variety of activities. It is also a bargain.

The Richardson YMCA is a good, healthy, and economical location for all types of exercise and group sport activities. It is available to people in age brackets from newborn to advanced age from single people on up to full family groups. The facility is vey safe and very clean at all times.

Gavin has been a fantastic swim instructor for my son Luke. This is the first year my son has been willing to do swim lessons (he’s newly 4) and Gavin did great with him. I thought it would be a fight every day but after the first day he has looked forward to going. Gavin did a great job of subtly getting his head more and more wet and Luke finally put his head in the water without freaking out about it! Can’t say enough good things about Gavin.
The instructor was very kind and patient. She took her time with my child and always appeared to be calm and in control.

Great instructors and lots of available times to choose from. The instructors challenge the kids without being too forceful. I also like that lessons are for two weeks in a row.
Our son's teacher, Janie, was great. He loved her and by the end of lessons with her he was able to swim independently for short distances.
Great instructor. My daughter was comfortable and excited for each lesson. I was even able to workout during her sessions.

The staff are friendly and helpful. The instructors, especially Amy and Alejandra, are knowledgeable and encouraging. While smaller and less updated than other Y's it is clean and well organized.
