I loved that they asked for feedback and made changes in the middle of the season. The referees were much better the second half of the season than the first I appreciate the way you want the kids to learn soccer and keep it a positive experience.

We had a great experience playing basketball.
Friendly staff, great facility.
My son has been part of the basketball youth leagues for 4-5 seasons, he is 10 yrs old now. I have to say the refs are the best! Their patience and attitude towards the game, the players and expectations for good sportsmanship really cultivates a much more enjoyable experience for the teams and audience.
We do not have the same experience for PSA which my son also plays. In fact, we had a coach consistently yell at his players, cusses all through the game then yells at our coach in front of the kids, parents, everyone and chest up as if ready to fight. When we report it to the PSA coordinator he just says he knows who that coach is and is fine. The refs also waited to long to call the cussing and screaming - they just let the coach misbehave and do not keep it family friendly.
Everyone is so friendly! And the childwatch is a lifesaver. I couldn’t workout if that didn’t exist

This season was a. good one with my youngest son. The YMCA experience is a family oriented one where kids play for fun and to be in community. I felt that with my son this season. Unfortunately, my older son doesn't play with the YMCA anymore because last season he was placed in the team with the European Soccer Academy- they kept pushing membership to their academy and once I said I couldn't pay for their program, they isolated my son during practice- those that had signed up had a different practice time. I was disappointed, and so was he. Don't let the family/volunteer led model of the YMCA sports be ruined by those kind of companies. Thankfully, I am able to have a different experience with my youngest son.
