I absolutely love the YMCA Richardson! The staff is so warm and welcoming, making you feel at home from the moment you walk in. They offer fitness and a variety of classes, plus childcare, so there’s truly something for the whole family. It’s more than just a club—it’s a supportive community that inspires healthy living for everyone.
Exercising in a place with others who are pleasant matters. I see friendly people and in the afternoons parents bringing their children to activities. The staff greet and say goodbye when one leaves. All of these things set the Y apart from other gyms.
Everyone is so friendly & helpful! Also, services are so user-friendly & oriented towards Seniors & their special needs. Workshops & speakers related to Seniors are always helpful & greatly appreciated! Staff is always ready to help & answer questions, or to make suggestions. I love my local YMCA & staff! It has a wonderful staff and many wonderful classes. Very friendly, helpful and much like a family with the atmosphere to heighten the experience. It is definitely my home away from home 5 mornings a week.
I have been a member since 2010 and gave loved the exercise classes and now am working with one of their trainers and am very impressed. However, what really keeps me coming back is the front desk people that have been there for so long and don’t change all the time. Also the people that go to the Y. They are all so nice. Couldn’t ask for a better environment!

My only complaint is the inconsistency in rules or their enforcement from week to week. 1st grade football- sometimes the 5 yards was enforced sometimes not, it was just confusing for the kids as they try to learn the game.

I am happy to have joined Richardson Family YMCA. The location is close to my home, a clean building, and thanks to The Lord, and Military Eligibility papers, I received a great discount, all for which I am very grateful. Thank The Lord, and thank you.
This season was a. good one with my youngest son. The YMCA experience is a family oriented one where kids play for fun and to be in community. I felt that with my son this season. Unfortunately, my older son doesn't play with the YMCA anymore because last season he was placed in the team with the European Soccer Academy- they kept pushing membership to their academy and once I said I couldn't pay for their program, they isolated my son during practice- those that had signed up had a different practice time. I was disappointed, and so was he. Don't let the family/volunteer led model of the YMCA sports be ruined by those kind of companies. Thankfully, I am able to have a different experience with my youngest son.
My kids enjoy swimming classes and soccer games.
I love the group exercise classes. The facility and staff are welcoming. This Y is a home away from home; my stress relief.
