Member Testimonials
Great knowledgeable and friendly staff.
The staff was so helpful and pleasant…and the Membership director went out of her way to introduce us to some class members. Very nice and was interested in us n a good listener.
Staff is friendly and helpful. Good group class offerings. Please offer classes on Sunday too!
Staff is terrific. They have yoga, and group classes.
I enjoyed the chair yoga very much
The staff members are great, facilities are great - I have nothing but good things to say!
Staff all friendly and helpful
The people!
The Y is a wonderful place to meet with friends and stay in shape as a senior adult.
The two things that I like the most are they have Body Combat three times a week and it's located walking distance from my house. I also appreciate that we can use any of the DFW YMCAs.
I do really wish that the Richardson Y would try to get pickle ball on the schedule. Also, my friends in Wichita, KS get to participate in the YMCA 360 program to earn points for each workout. I'd love it if we could get that in DFW too.
Groups are small and instructors are so nice
Navigators, water sawfly instruction, HEROES support, clean exercise area and equipment, wonderful front desk staff.
Nearby, friendly people, excellent classes
Friendly Environment and Great Staff.
Friendly staffs always helpful , clean atmosphere , fully loaded workout equipment, awesome group workout classes, two thumbs up !!!
We love the Y and the methods that they use to teach swim. It is the right pace for my daughter and I am thankful for the entire staff!
That all the games and practices are at the location 😆😆
Great facility with a great array of gym equipment and classes. They obviously do a great job with their children's programs still. they did when mine we're young.
Friendly and helpful people on the staff makes for a pleasant and comfortable environment.
I've been a member for years, first as a parent with kids in sports programs and me as a coach. My kids also did the adventure program and had a blast.
I'm now an old geezer trying to stay slightly healthy.
A great place to work out!
Instructors are patient and the kids love them!
The instructor we had was amazing! Not sure what her name is but she’s been so patient and just great.
Every day after camp, I would ask my son about his day and loved hear about his camp adventures. I particularly liked that the activities were all outside. I couldn't help but feel a bit apprehensive at first, as this was his first summer at Camp on the Lake, and he was just six years old with no familiar faces around. However, my worries quickly vanished when I learned he made new friends and connected with his counselor. One thing that really stood out for me was the consistency of his experiences with the same counselor, which allowed them to develop a bond.
Having initially signed him up for only a few weeks of camp, I was happy when he expressed his desire to attend more weeks of camp. He even reassured me that the bus ride to and from camp was a minor inconvenience compared to the fun he had. Without a doubt, I am eagerly planning to register him again next year, and would highly recommend this camp.
Great instructors, safe and friendly environment!
The attention and the swim coach capability to understand my kid learning style. Also Mia was very approachable and kind. She worked with kid and helped with developing her skills
Safe, clean, great instructors and workers. very welcoming, friendly and helpful environment.
Small groups, instructors have been great, they work with each child's individual abilities. We've seen great progress in our child in such a short time.
Pretty good

Kids who might not be good enough to make their school teams can play here
the fun and encouraging atmosphere from the coaches and teammates

When I leave the Richardson YMCA, I know I have done something to improve my physical well-being, but that is not all. On most days I have had brief chats with a number of a people and at least a spoken greeting with others. I might even have enjoyed a cup of coffee after my workout, and don't tell anyone that a cookie or two brought from home might have been shared with a friend there also. I head home feeling upbeat, having taken a little time from the day during which I have laid aside all the usual problems we humans deal with.
