I made an appointment for a 90 minute massage on Monday Sep 1 at the Sandy Springs GA location with a therapist named Asha who listed lomi lomi in her bio. I requested a lomi lomi massage when I made the appoinment by phone and was told that was not a problem. I arrived 15 minutes early to ensure that I had time to discuss my request with the therapist. The therapist arrived at the appointment time and then we talked for 30 minutes in the massage room before she began the massage, which did include a few minutes of "lomi lomi" style strokes on my back. Then she gave me a traditional "swedish" massage and she ended the massage after an hour of massage. When I left, I asked to speak to the manager but the manager was no longer at the location. I called the location after I got home and was told the manager was still not there but that she would call me the next morning. It is now 3 days later and I have still not gotten a call from the manager. I am very disappointed. Name removed Phone number removed

I wanted to pass along my experience. I hate to file a complaint, but after spending over $100 of my own money, I just felt I had to at least share my experience for future clients. I booked a 60 minute massage online the night prior (9/2) for 10:15am the following morning(9/3). When I arrived for my appointment around 10:05, I was still in the waiting room at 10:17. Once I was greeted, I was immediately told by the therapist how my appointment was so last minute and they had phone calls to make which they could no longer make because of me, a doctors appointment for their 2 month old that they could not make and their father would have to take her instead, and didn’t realize I had made the appointment so last minute once again. I felt beyond awful for making an appointment right there, as I felt I was inconveniencing her because she had phone calls to make and now had to miss her daughters doctors appointment because I selfishly booked myself a massage. Her phone went off in the appointment which is fine; however, it was reiterated that she was missing her daughters appointment and she hoped her daughters father would be taking care of it without her specific direction because it sounded like she was the main provider and he would have forgotten - which again made me feel awful for making an appointment. She discussed things about her daughter which was fine despite me trying to just have a quiet enjoyable massage. The massage felt very rushed- especially the ending, and when I looked up at the clock I noticed my massage was noticeably cut at least 10 minutes short. Lastly, while I was checking out, she came out to remind me to stretch and left me with abruptly saying ok, and she needed to leave immediately now for her child’s doctor. I asked the receptionist if this was normal to book last minute appointments as I truly felt AWFUL and awkward for inconveniencing her and tipped out of guilt, and also booking an appointment so last minute and was over all really disappointed that I paid for 60 minutes on the table and was given barely 50 minutes at best being there.
I just wanted to pass this along for any future clients, as I felt beyond uncomfortable and again feel terrible for booking an appointment so last minute.

Best massage I’ve had by far. When I left my body felt completely different in a good way. Freddie took time and worked the areas I asked for extra hard and then found some areas that needed work that I didn’t even know about. Will definitely return!

I am dissapointed in paying for a one hour massage and getting about 50 minutes.
Starla, We are very sorry for the miscommunication. All of our emails and marketing state that all sessions include time for consultations and dressing. Which means that a 60 minute session consists of 50 minutes of hands on treatment and our pricing is based on that amount. Again, we are very sorry that we missed this communication with you. I brought my 93-year-old dad in for his monthly massage. Emma used to be his masseuse, she was amazing. I was told Emma had moved.
His masseuse this time was Abby. Soon after I dropped him off I received a call that he needed help getting on the table. Then I received another call stating he needed help with some of his clothes. I had to drive back to assist him and getting his shoes and his compression socks off! Abby showed no compassion at all. My dad could’ve easily toppled off the table and onto the floor just trying to get his shoes off. He will not be coming back to LaVida
