I wanted to pass along my experience. I hate to file a complaint, but after spending over $100 of my own money, I just felt I had to at least share my experience for future clients. I booked a 60 minute massage online the night prior (9/2) for 10:15am the following morning(9/3). When I arrived for my appointment around 10:05, I was still in the waiting room at 10:17. Once I was greeted, I was immediately told by the therapist how my appointment was so last minute and they had phone calls to make which they could no longer make because of me, a doctors appointment for their 2 month old that they could not make and their father would have to take her instead, and didn’t realize I had made the appointment so last minute once again. I felt beyond awful for making an appointment right there, as I felt I was inconveniencing her because she had phone calls to make and now had to miss her daughters doctors appointment because I selfishly booked myself a massage. Her phone went off in the appointment which is fine; however, it was reiterated that she was missing her daughters appointment and she hoped her daughters father would be taking care of it without her specific direction because it sounded like she was the main provider and he would have forgotten - which again made me feel awful for making an appointment. She discussed things about her daughter which was fine despite me trying to just have a quiet enjoyable massage. The massage felt very rushed- especially the ending, and when I looked up at the clock I noticed my massage was noticeably cut at least 10 minutes short. Lastly, while I was checking out, she came out to remind me to stretch and left me with abruptly saying ok, and she needed to leave immediately now for her child’s doctor. I asked the receptionist if this was normal to book last minute appointments as I truly felt AWFUL and awkward for inconveniencing her and tipped out of guilt, and also booking an appointment so last minute and was over all really disappointed that I paid for 60 minutes on the table and was given barely 50 minutes at best being there.
I just wanted to pass this along for any future clients, as I felt beyond uncomfortable and again feel terrible for booking an appointment so last minute.
