Member Testimonials
Cape Ann Y has been so much better since the new facility was open. Not perfect but I appreciate that you are trying so hard to get feedback to be more responsive to your customers. It's a beautiful facility with a lot to offer for the community.
Great employees and instructors.
Fabulous facility!
Brand new facility... awesome pool...great staff
Instructors are great and very knowledgeable
The new YMCA is a beautiful and inspiring facility to workout at. It has something for everyone. A member recently told me the new Y has changed her life. I could understand why she said it. The Cape Ann community is fortunate to have it.
Variety of group exercise classes, the newest equipment, the staff are always friendly & helpful.
A brand new, friendly , clean environment for ALL ages. I wish I joined sooner!
Very likely.

I love the Cape Ann Y! The facility is so clean and equipped with all the stuff I need to work out. The staff is always friendly and there to help with any questions I might have. I’ve really enjoyed my experience so far!
Clean, energetic environment, top notch instructors, variety of classes, friendly and helpful staff
Variety of programs. Large pool with many swim lanes. Open and airy strength and cardio area. Just overall a lovely facility.
Plenty of variety and excellent classes
Being a new member, I was cautious about my expectations at the start. From my first visit, I've been super impressed with everything! The facility is clean, well set up/organized and efficiently run. I am always met with a welcoming smile and friendly greeting.
The class instructors cater to all levels of participants and take the time to answer questions after a session. I've also been swimming laps in the pool. The lifeguards are attentive to their responsibilities and informative when I've approached them regarding the schedule.
Overall, we are very fortunate to have such a wonderful organization serving our community.

We’ve been members of the Gloucester Y since our kids were little We love the friendly and competent staff, the range of activities and classes, the pool, and so much more! The kids especially love Kids Club and the amazing staff that hang out with them there!
Everyone has been very helpful and welcoming.
Great group of people, a positive addition to our community.
love the instructors, they take time and have the kids enjoy, great experience

New building, great pool, fantastic staff. All that and abundant parking! What could be better?
However...
It's far from perfect. The Y could use some sort of system to collect and keep track of suggestions members come up with--from program ideas to janitorial complaints. It sometimes seems like all the suggestions (complaints) never get past the locker room banter. What a boost to moral it would be if folks could see a list (posted or on a website) of what's been suggested, what complaints have come in, what's being worked on, and when will it get done. As it stands now apathy seems to be the prevalent attitude towards complaints/suggestions (or even notifications of something that's broken): "No use telling 'em; they're not gonna do anything about it." If you like this idea, let me know, because I can start the list!
