The basketball program has been so incredible for my daughter’s confidence and learning about team sports. We’re all obsessed and I wouldn’t want a thing to change. It’s been an incredible experience and the Y is such a local gem.
My son played his first basketball season and he will be playing again. He had great coaches and it was very organized.

Coach Gaudy Keys was hands down the best coach! She has a passion for the sport and helping kids learn. She has patience and enthusiasm. Makes learning the sport fun and boosts morale.

It's a great place to try a new sport. My daughter loves it and wants to train more to play with older kids. The coach is very encouraging and positive. We're glad our friends brought us to YMCA

They always have them doing activities both inside and outside the classroom, and they make sure the children eat their snacks.

My kids really enjoy their time at YMCA after school. It’s great because they can participate in all after school activities like band, Lego club, girls on the run and then go to YMCA after. If I sent them anywhere else, we wouldn’t have this opportunity. Also, Ms Ashley, Ms. Claudia and the rest of the crew are great. I truly believe they care about my children and help them make good choices and be better humans in the world! Thank you for all you do for our Essrig kids and community! Keep it up 🙌
We’re very likely to recommend the Y because the after-school program gives us peace of mind knowing our children are in a safe, caring, and fun environment after school. The staff are dependable and welcoming, and our kids enjoy the activities and time with their friends. It’s been a great option for our family and something we can consistently rely on.
My son has both high functioning autism and ADHD. The local team at Carrollwood K-8 has worked with him in this challenging stage (Kindergarten). I am forever grateful for their patience, guidance and empathy.
All staff are friendly and very helpful! I like the many different programs offered to Y members to engage with staff, participate in exercise programs and encourage members to socialize.

Michelle greets you every morning with a smiling face and fun to chat with. Ed is the very best instructor and take many of his classes every week - can’t be beat! Dan takes good care of us during water aerobics and keeps us safe. Awesome facility!
I like the variety of classes for my age group. The instructors are knowledgeable and friendly. There are convenient times for the classes also.
Great place to get fit and stay fit, love the classes, love the chair volleyball, love the people, the staff. Best place to be.
Good way to get introduced to hoops and I think for younger kids having multiple short seasons is a great idea.
