This place is a hidden gem! Gorgeous campus, wide variety of classes, excellent equipment and trainers....and, now, Tai Chi! Yay
I love the downtown y. It’s not horribly crowded as a rule, has lots of natural light, and most of the staff are friendly. I do, however, wish the music were played at a lower volume. I am one of the very few people that doesn’t wear ear buds so I’m very sensitive to the volume.
Clean, friendly staff, very few "weightlifting wanna be pros" who abuse the facility and equipment. Ability to use out of town facilities that include a swimming pool is an added bonus while traveling.

They have a great welcome staff that is informed and happy to help anyone. They have programs that are excellent and for someone wanting low impact or more aggressive impact. The pool is always crystal clear and very inviting. They could have more water classes though.

I LOVE Northwest Y! When I moved to the stamps area, we went to several different YMCA locations. We felt most welcome at Northwest. The staff and other members are kind, supportive and welcoming. Everyone genuinely seems to love being there. Their training staff is the BEST! Northwest may not be the newest or most popular Y in the area, but it’s my favorite!

The coaches (parents) were fabulous and the location was ok. Would do it again. My kids had a blast.
