My online search was for a well known reputable mover with experience in long distance moves. That search lead me to Allied and QMM. My first contact was with Francis Leal who walked me through what the process would entail and provided detailed guidelines of what and how to pack our boxes. A virtual video tour was arranged for Francis to evaluate our contents and arrive at a volume and weight estimate for loading the trailer and provide a quote. He needed to see in every closet, all kitchen cupboards, every dresser drawer, under every bed and yes even under the kitchen sink. His estimate came to a total of 14,044 pounds which, along with furniture, included a motorcycle, an atv, and 2 kayaks. Also, he arrived at an estimated total of 231 boxes weighing 5,762 pounds (average 25lbs per box). We counted and weighed every box that we packed and that came to 242 boxes weighing 6,571 pounds (average 27lbs per box). Final weight of the shipment was 15,260 pounds. We were totally amazed at the skill, knowledge and experience that it took to arrive at an estimate that accurate from a video tour. Unbelievable. And the final bill was less than the estimate. Lorraine Baird was our contact to assist us with the process of establishing timelines for pickup and delivery and coordinating contact with the driver. Also, she helped us with tips on packing and the do's and don'ts of the process. As moving day approached, Lorraine put us in contact with the driver Mike Murphy. This was a smart move. The driver picks and is charge of the moving crew and all that goes on at both ends of the move. He had some further insight as to how to prepare and make things easier for his crews. At the loading end they wrapped everything in moving blankets. And I mean everything, including the kayaks. Both crews worked together as a team. Each knowing what needed to be done and doing it without hesitation or discussion. Simply a pleasure to observe. Anything that needed taken apart was put back together on delivery. For our move, the tractor trailer couldn't get to either place so a shuttle truck had to be used to move everything to and from the tractor trailer. That meant everthing was handled twice for loading and twice for unloading. So yes there did end up being a few items that got some minor dings. Overall would I recommend QMM for your move? You bet I would. Ask for Francis, Lorraine and Mike.
Very efficient and this is my third moving experience withh QMM. I have another move next year around April so looking forward to eorking with QMM agsin!

The service I've received has exceeded our expectations. You constantly kept me informed and I could always reach you. The driver, Blair and his team were outstanding!! The care they took wrapping and moving all our belongings we're so professional. We have only positive things to say about the whole experience and will definitely recommend your services to family and friends.
Everyone I dealt with was knowledgeable and professional and inspired confidence. My only complaint would be that the workers who did the final delivery at the destination only used one person to take in the mattress. This was a two-person job especially with the weight of the mattress and the flight of stairs up to the bedroom. The result was he dropped the mattress often, then dragged it along the floor and also rolled it on its end. This cause the mattress bag to rip in places and got the mattress dirty. If two people were carrying it, this would not have happened.

Everything was smooth and professional- from our Co-ordinator Manna to our moving crew of Jami and Mike. Our moving crew was great! We had no breakage due to them. They were quick and efficient, and friendly to boot! We highly recommend this team!!
We were happy with the overall performance of the team. Tara was excellent at approximating our load. Manna was good at keeping us up to date on dates. The packing team was awesome, Nick our driver, Mark, Lester and Chester! The labour that Nick had to use in Regina was not as good or careful as the load team. Nick and Lester were amazing! The only thing I wish we had of known was to carefully look at things as they were coming in the house. Quite a few things were not where the boxes were labeled which meant we thought they were missing. At the end we were asked to walk around and make sure everything was ok but when you have 150 boxes it’s very hard to know if everything is there.

The entire team was super helpful in planning and executing the move from Toronto to Trail. Heather Howells was extremely knowledgeable in the process and explained everything super clearly and effectively to me. This was my first time ever moving from Toronto, and the process was very pleasant and stress-free.
The two teams of movers I've interacted with were also extremely efficient, polite, and handled my belongings with care. I would highly recommend QMM to all of my friends/coworkers/contacts.

They were very thorough in ensuring that I understood everything. Once the quote was finalized, QMM connected me to a move coordinator that was very responsive and personable. They were able to work with my move dates without any hassle. Finalizing the move, QMM made sure that I had all my forms and documents in place, including helping me look over the documents and providing examples. The driver was professional and punctual - they moved everything carefully and quickly. QMM made sure to periodically contact me and give me updates as the driver drove up to the destination. The driver even walked us through the immigration expectations! Unloading was quick and easy, the driver was punctual with QMM representatives following up and facilitating the whole way.
I can not express how grateful that QMM was there for me during this normally difficult and stressful process. They took the guesswork out of my cross border move! I would definitely recommend.

Had a great experience overall. Brad was great and always answered all my questions. Manna was friendly and provided me updated info. The movers were awesome guys, very friendly and careful with all my belongings. They are hard workers and were very patient and always kind if I had questions. If/when I move again I would not hesitate to use QMM and would love to have the same guys doing my move. A huge thank you to them, so appreciated!!

All of the loaders and unloaders were vey professional, and treated our belongings with respect and care. They worked very hard with minimal breaks. They were pleasant, and we enjoyed them very much. We were happy that they put pads down throughout our home so that they were not walking on our newly cleaned rugs and floors.
The packers were good, but two of them did walk across our carpet with their shoes on even though the shoes had snow and dirt on them. The breakable dishes, etc. were packed well. One of the packers did overlook a few things in his haste. After the packers had left, I found two kitchen drawers that were not packed at all, and I had to pack them myself. There are still some items that we have not found.
Heather Prystie was fantastic in organizing all of the logistics and answered all of our questions quickly and professionally. It was a great moving experience.
You all were perfect. Communication was always clear, you handed us off seamlessly when needed, handled our timing requirements, and were always warmly professional.
