My son started with Sylvan earlier this fall to get some extra help with math. Our experience with Sylvan has been wonderful from the get-go and giving my son & me the support and insights that we feel our school has been unable to provide in a larger classroom setting. The director, Ceilidh, and her team have been compassionate, patient, informational & doing a great job of meeting my son where he is at. I can already see the progress he is making over the course of just a few weeks.

We started off sending our youngest to Sylvan for reading. She had fallen backwards from her previous year in school. Sylvan has done an amazing job getting her back on track and built her confidence beyond where it was. Now she stops to read everything she can to show us the progress she has made. Recently we started our oldest to help her get to the grade level she needs to be at and already she is gaining confidence in herself and understanding her assignments. We can’t say enough good things about the teachers at Sylvan and how invested they are to our girls. They are just as excited for them when they succeed as we are. It is great investment into our girls’ future.

My child’s grade in high school honors algebra has drastically improved! She also loves going to Sylvan and doesn’t mind carving out that time in her busy schedule to go.

My son was not happy when we first told him we signed him up for tutoring. He now enjoys going and his progress is noticeable. His test scores improved from Kinder to 2nd grade level in a couple months.

My child (Peyton Mickens) has excelled so much! When I tell you she could not read a full sentence without struggling in the third grade, she could not. Today she’s in 5th grade and makes nothing but As in reading and writing. She passed her star exam in the 4th grade and is doing great. I recently put her in math to help her in that area as well. My Son has always struggled with reading and math but his 3rd grade year was his worst. I called Sylvan desperate and in tears when he was at risk for failing the 3rd grade and he did not pass his FAST assessment test. They gave us a plan and it wasn’t easy and it was an investment. He had a rigorous schedule through the summer but he passed and promoted to the 4th grade. I have kept him in Sylvan for the 4th grade and he has stayed on level this whole year and it has been worth every penny. He doesn’t complain or get overwhelmed doing homework anymore. The Sylvan team keeps up with his grades and his assignments. So they know what his class is doing to keep him on track. I am grateful for Sylvan.
So far our experience with Sylvan has been excellent! My daughter is learning very quickly, the tutors have been super helpful, and communication with the company has been very easy with quick responses. We would recommend this program to anyone needing help!
